Pretreatment of near-infrared spectral data is the basis of feature extraction, quantitative and qualitative analysis and establishment of models, it plays a significant role in obtaining the data and get reliable results. The purpose of the paper is compared the advantages and disadvantages of the S-G, derivative and multiple algorithm methods of spectral preprocessing through the example of apple leaves. S-G algorithm can smooth the data relatively better, but we must according to the specific circumstances of the case while chose the width of the window and the order of polynomial; Kernel smoothing is better than S-G in two-ends data processing, but its processing speed is slower than S-G. Derivative algorithm can get more stable reflectance, but it is sensitive to noise, so it need to be used with the smoothing algorithm. Multiple scatter correction can be used effectively to eliminate the translation and offset of baseline. All of above algorithms have been applied in the system of near infrared spectroscopy processing system of leaves and satisfactory result was obtained.

By analyzing the progresses of pomology information retrieval which are driven by tasks, the author put forward an idea of expressing the tasks in pomology information retrieval. An interview test was used to validate the idea and based on analyzing the data of the test, a method of expressing the tasks in pomology information retrieval, in which the difference of searchers’ acknowledgement is considered, was put forward.

As the proposition of the ‘Internet plus’ concept and speedy progress of new media technology, traditional business have been increasingly shared in the development fruits of the informatization and the networking. Proceeding from the real plant protection demands, the construction of a cloud-based video monitoring system that surveillances diseases and pests in apple orchards has been discussed, aiming to solve the lack of timeliness and comprehensiveness in the control of diseases and pests in apple orchards. The system can not only monitor the growth state of all apple trees in orchards, but also detect apple trees’ diseases and pests. The system featured a camera located under tree canopies that could precisely detect diseases and pests on the back of the leaves. On the cloud storage service side, plant protectors can get hold of the situation of apple trees’ diseases and pests by using the software installed in a smartphone or a computer. The system provided pinpoint surveillance data and determining criterions for the control of diseases and pests of fruit trees, which had a great realistic meaning to the development of agricultural and rural informatization.

In the near past, the increasing demand of produce supply and the frequent foodborne disease have turned the issue of agro-food quality and safety into the key point of concerned all over the world. The approach of agro-food traceability is being under the exploration in lots of communities in the world for controlling the occurrence of quality and safety accidents, restoring consumer confidence. In this paper, we first introduce the implication of the traceability system for agro-food quality and safety, and the development situation of the system in China and overseas have been described. Then, the application of information techniques for agro-food traceability has been elaborated base on the summary of key techniques in recent produce traceability. At last, the existence problem in the construction of traceability system for agro-food quality and safety is pointed out so as to provide a reference to optimize and improve the traceability system of produce quality and safety.

With development of web information technologies, internet applications have come into burst growth, which brings different kinds of standard, database and description methods. This condition causes the “information islands” that make a lot of trouble in data sharing. The root cause of these problems is information source heterogeneity, which consists of four levels, and among them the semantic heterogeneity is the most difficult issue. The reasons of semantic heterogeneity existing are pointed out in this article and the research status of heterogeneity elimination is introduced. At last the solutions of agricultural product price information in multi-source network are summarized and the research emphasis in future is prospected.

This paper reveals that the users of the pomology information retrieval system possess similar pomology knowledge structures after conducting questionnaire survey and interviews. Why such high consistency appears is explained by the comparison and analysis of the non-pomology-information- retrieval-system users. In the end, Based on the above conclusion, the method of simulating the searcher’s professional knowledge structure by using the theory of pomology ontology is released in order to provide a theoretical exploration for the future information retrieval system, which will be more efficient and intelligent.

This system has, by the comprehensive use of various latest information technologies and active gateway technologies, linked the wireless communication network, fixed-line telephone network and the Internet network (Three Networks) together to realize the seamless bridging of information, so as to broaden the service scope of the application system on the internetwork. The agricultural experts and/or agricultural technology promoters could provide the information service to the grassroots orchardists by use of this system in an even more convenient and speedy manner and the grassroots orchardists could also obtain the information on the internetwork in a flexible and convenient form, so that the “problem of last kilometer” in the dissemination of orchard information has been effectively solved.

The precise management of orchards cannot do without the support of various orchard field data, and the orchard field data server is an effective solution thereto. The orchard field data server consists of data acquisition unit, data communication unit, data analysis unit and such diversified server sockets of user terminal as supportive personal computer (PC), notebook computer, mobile phone and telephone. The orchard workers can set data acquisition cycle according to the requirements, and the processed data can serve the orchard workers in many respects. After its promotion and application in many orchards in such regions as Liaoning and Beijing, the said system has been proved to be of easy use and reliable effect, so that the project has achieved good social, ecological and economic benefits.

To reduce the effect from instrument error when getting characteristic parameters of branches of fruit trees by the electromagnetic tracking instrument, a calibration method was sounded based on a discussion of the instrument error of electromagnetic tracking instrument. Finally, the method was tested in an experiment. By comparing the data of the experiment and the standard data which was got by slide caliper, we proved that the method is effective in increasing the accuracy of measurement.

The form of the Apple tree is decided by the organ position of the tree, it affects not ONLY the relationship between the vegetative growth and the fruit production, but also the fruit quality. In this research, the continuous growth for 3 years was gotten with polhemus fastrak, and the apple tree model was built in the POV-ray to simulate the interception of the sunlight. A mathematic model was built between the form and the photosynthetic efficiency, the growth as the index of the form while the interception of the light as the index of the photosynthetic efficiency. Utilizing this model to analyses the effects of the form on the apple tree’s photosynthetic efficiency, this result show a reference for the apple trees management.
