This paper presents data grid system based on agent for an efficient interoperability of distributed data. Purpose of the data grid system is an efficient interoperability through sharing and exchanging data among distributed databases. Interoperability of distributed data is a basic condition for cooperation of existing legacy systems. More nodes for cooperation, better for distributed environment. On the other hand, we have to overcome heterogeneous characteristics of data and physical problems of network. Therefore, we use agent system which is independent, autonomous and mobile in distributed platform for solving this problem. As mobile Agent interacts asynchronously, it could lessen network traffic and support workload and distributed processing of services so that it is suitable for data grid system. Also we use XMDR(eXtended Metadata Registry) in ISO/IEC 11179 for sharing and exchanging data and overcome the heterogeneity of data. Therefore we improve availability and transparency of distributed data based on data grid middle- ware using proposed mobile agent and could construct data grid system with low cost.

This paper proposed XMDR-DAI design for interoperable legacy systems. The XMDR-DAI design makes efficient business process for cooperation between companies. In this case, the business process contains a variety of queries where query-based data processing is not seamless due to heterogeneity issues. Therefore, the proposed XMDR-DAI design ensures efficient data interoperability among legacy systems. Because generation of queries in the business process are based on XMDR, and heterogeneity happening at the time of running queries are solved with GQBP and LQBP. Also, XMDR-DAI based interoperability is efficient because it builds XMDR and thereby provides global schema, enabling business process regardless of local schema.

This paper proposes a search system using the topic maps that it extends XMDR into Knowledge based XMDR for solving of the problems of the heterogeneity of distributed data on a network and integrate data by an efficient way. The proposed system combined Topic Maps and the extended metadata registry effectively. The Topic Maps represent related knowledge and reasoning relationship by associations of topic. And the extended metadata registry standards and manages the metadata of the local systems through registration and certification on the distributed environment. We also proposed a meta layer, include the meta topic and meta association to achieve semantic classification grouping of topics and to define relationship between Topic Maps and extended metadata registry.

Corporate data are divided vertically or horizontally in the network by their functions. In this study, we propose a TMDR-based query conversion method to access these data by means of integration. TMDR is a repository that combines MSO for schema integration and Topic Maps for semantic integration of data. In methodology, the global query is created for global processing using TMDR, and the resulting global query is broken down into local schema to access distributed systems in a network, enabling integrated access. We propose a method of converting global query and local query for this purpose.

This paper proposes a cooperation system for the XMDR-based business process. The proposed system solves the problem of heterogeneousness that may take place regarding interoperability of queries in a XMDR-based business process. Heterogeneousness in an operation of a business process may involve metadata collision, schema collision, or data collision. This can be handled by operating a business process by making use of XMDR-based Global Query and Local Query.

This paper design and implements a synchronized agent mechanism that be able to synchronize SFT (Slow Frequency Transaction) data among e-business processes in distributed environment. This synchronized agent system is adopted to use mobile agent to guarantee the interoperability of the distributed processes and to solve some problems at the client/server architecture and proposes a policy to synchronize data of e-business processes on the any platforms of distributed heterogeneous systems. The proposed synchronization policy is based on the time-stamp transaction with the system priority on the unicasting transportation.

Recently, enterprise systems require the necessity of integration for data sharing and cooperation. As a methodology for integration, Service-Oriented Architecture for service integration and Master Data for integration of data, which is used for service, were appeared. This paper suggests a method that operates BP(Business Process) efficiently. We make XMDR(eXtended Meta Data Registry) as knowledge-repository to support the BP and construct data hubs to operate it. XMDR manages MDM(Master Data Management) to integrate the data, resolves heterogeneity between the data and provides relationship to the business efficiently. This is composed of MDR(Meta Data Registry), ontology and BR(Business Relations). MDR describes relationship between meta data to solve structured heterogeneity. Ontology describes semantic heterogeneity and relationship between data. BR describes relationship between tasks. XMDR data hub supports the management of master data and interaction of different process effectively.
