We report theoretical investigations on the magnetocaloric effect, described by the magnetic entropy change in rare earth—transition metal amorphous systems. The model includes the local anisotropy on the rare earth ions in Harris-Plischke-Zuckermann assumptions. The transition metals ions are treated in terms of itinerant electron ferromagnetism and the magnetic moment of rare earth ions is coupled to the polarized d-band by a local exchange interaction. The magnetocaloric effect was calculated in DyCo3.4 system, which presents amorphous sperimagnetic configuration. The calculations predict higher refrigerant capacity in the amorphous DyCo3.4 than in DyCo2 crystal, highlighting the importance of amorphous magnetocaloric materials. Our calculation of the magnetocaloric effect in Dy70Zr30, which presents amorphous asperomagnetic configuration, is in good agreement with the experimental result. Furthermore, magnetic entropy changes associated with crystal-amorphous configurations change are estimated.

We report a theoretical microscopic model to discuss the barocaloric and magnetocaloric effects in the Gd5Si2Ge2 compound based on the recent experimental data by Yuce et al. [Appl. Phys. Lett. 101, 071906 (2012)]. For this purpose, our model Hamiltonian includes three interactions: Zeeman, magnetoelastic, and exchange interactions, considering the magnetic field dependence of phonons entropy. Using this model, the combined magnetocaloric and barocaloric effects were calculated in Gd5Si2Ge2 compound showing satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. Besides, a high entropy change was predicted for simultaneous changes in the applied magnetic field and pressure (the combined magnetocaloric and barocaloric effects).

Objective : To identify the scientific literature on the use of health information systems, their weaknesses and potential for decision-making. Method : Study systematic literature review conducted in September / October 2014. The sample consisted of 13 articles published in the databases: LILLACS, SciELO, PubMed, Cochrane. Results : there was a small number of publications on the subject; it was pointed out as weaknesses for use of the systems: unpreparedness of the professionals, lack of training, poor access to systems; and how potential: characterization of the population profile, epidemiological, peoples living conditions, etc. Conclusion : the health information systems provide great potential for decision-making and must overcome difficulties to use, being necessary to carry out more studies on the subject.

Objective: The study aimed to identify the occupational hazards to which workers are exposed in nursing working in immunization room of the family health strategy of the municipality of Conde-Paraiba. Methods: this was an exploratory study, descriptive and qualitative. The survey was conducted in basic health units of the municipality of Conde-PB, using a semi-structured interview script, as a tool for data collection, with objective and subjective questions that addressed the topic. Have been followed all ethical and legal precepts of research involving humans. Results and discussion: Nursing workers working in immunization of the said rooms municipality do not have enough knowledge about the occupational hazards to which they are exposed in their work environment, use the individual protection equipment making them vulnerable to a variety of risk situations and contributing to the increase in the number of occupational accidents. Conclusion: The present research demonstrated through the lines of the participants that they are exposed to various occupational hazards to act in vaccine, and that the recognition of these risks is necessary to the development of action for prevention, elimination or control of them. Permanent education is the primary tool for nursing workers acquire knowledge about occupational accidents, their causes and ways to avoid them, thus minimizing the risks that may exist in the workplace. This is an integrative review of the literature that aimed to characterize the scientific production of the last ten years of management and management of nursing care in primary care and describe the practice of this management. The search of the material took place in May and June 2014 in the databases SCIELO, LACHC, and MEDLINE NDB considering the terms: Management; care management; Health Management; Nursing and Primary Health Care, so that 16 articles were included in the sample selected. The characterization of the studies pointed out the year 2010 with the largest quantity of sample publications; the Cuban Journal of Enfermeria was the one that got more than one publication; 10 studies are presented in Portuguese, three in English and three in Spanish. Three themes were highlighted for discussion: management practice and management of nursing care in Primary Care; Skills and nursing skills; and Challenges faced. We emphasize the importance of managerial activities of the nursing organization and qualification of care and transformation of health in primary care, demonstrating is necessary to build quality indicators; democratization of organizational behavior; systematization of assistance; best training and continuing education of professionals.

Objectives : To analyze public and private institutions that use risk management; investigate the strategies that these hospitals adopt for patient and professional safety and identify the positive and negative aspects that imply the risk management in the hospitals surveyed. Method : A descriptive study, quanti-qualitative, developed in four hospitals in the public and private network of Joao Pessoa - PB. The sample was represented by eight professionals responsible for risk management in the participating institutions. Data were collected from February to March 2016. The data were collected and analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. Results : It was observed that public hospitals have adopted a strategy of use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), professional development courses participations and the development of actions of epidemiological surveillance; and that private hospitals are limited to the PPE use and information about biosecurity procedures for patients and professionals. Conclusion : The institutions surveyed still do not follow the risk management standards as security strategic element, that discourages and emotionally wearing out health professionals. It is recommended the implementation of continuing education actions focused on risk management to improve the level of knowledge among professionals who serve in the public and in private sector.

Introduction: prenatal care comprises a set of care aimed at preserving the health of pregnant women and the fetus, intervening at an early stage in risk situations. The SISPRENATAL was created to oversee the actions scheduled for PHPN and facilitate the transfer of funds. However, the high rates of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality are still a challenge to public health. Objective: To investigate, in national literature, the use of SISPRENATAL in assessing the health care of pregnant women in the Family Health Strategy. Method: integrative systematic, which seeks to answer > The search was conducted in the databases SciELO, LILACS and BDENF, using the descriptors: womens health, information systems, prenatal care and the key word SISPRENATAL. For the analysis of the articles sought to the units of meaning that make up the corpus of 10 selected articles. Results: highlight was the publication of a small number of studies, however, consider all the SISPRENATAL an important health information tool. Conclusion: SISPRENATAL has many weaknesses in their use, which must be overcome to ensure improvements in the quality of maternal and perinatal care.
