Three new species of Ypsolopha Latreille are described from East Asia: Y. helva Sohn et Wu, n. sp., Y. sordida Sohn et Wu, n. sp., both from China; Y. pseudoparallela Sohn et Ponomarenko, n. sp. from Japan. Redescription of Y. contractella (Caradja), a poorly known species, is given with the first illustrations of genitalia of both species. The new combination, Ypsolopha diana (Caradja), transferred from Cerostoma, is proposed. Exclusion of Cerostoma xenicopis Meyrick from Ypsolopha is suggested with notes of its lectotype. The following new synonyms are proposed: Ypsolopha hebeiensis Yang, 1977 syn. n. = Y. leuconotella (Snellen, 1884); Ypsolopha affinitella (Staudinger, 1892) syn. n. = Y. dentella (Fabricius, 1775). Eight species are newly reported from China: Ypsolopha acuminata (Butler), Y. cristata Moriuti, Y. dentella (Fabricius), Y. japonica Moriuti, Y. nemorella (Linnaeus), Y. parenthesella (Linnaeus), Y. satellitella (Staudinger) and Y. yasudai Moriutu; two species are new to China and Korea, Y. amoenella (Christoph) and Y. asperella (Linnaeus); Y. contractella (Caradja) is new to Japan, Korea and China. A checklist of 42 species of Ypsolopha recorded from East Asia is provided.

The pantheine genus Ortopla Walker, [1859] 1858 is revised. Two new species, Ortopla witti sp. n. from the Philippines and O. longiuncus sp. n. from Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and South China are described. The name O. commutanda Warren, 1891 (syn. n.) is synonymised with O. iarbasalis Walker, [1859] 1858. The distribution of species in East Asia is clarified. A checklist of the genus Ortopla is presented. Imagines, male and female genitalia of all species are illustrated.

Twelve new species of the genus Stenoloba Staudinger, 1892 (S. gaoligonga sp. n., S. huanxipoa sp. n., S. chlorobrunnea sp. n., S. ochraceola sp. n., S. plumbeoviridis sp. n., S. plumbeobrunnea sp. n., S. cucullata sp. n., S. asymmetrica sp. n., S. acontioides sp. n., S. rectilinoides sp. n., S. uncata sp. n. and S. assimilina sp. n.) are described from China. Four species (S. albistriata Kononenko Ronkay, S. glaucescens (Hampson), S. rectilinea Yoshimoto, and S. brunnescens Kononenko Ronkay) are reported to China for the first time; S. nora Kononenko Ronkay is firstly reported for the continental China. The female genitalia of five species (S. albistriata, S. brunnescens, S. plumbeoculata Pekarsky, Dvořák G. Ronkay, S. motuoensis Han Lu and S. acutivalva Han Kononenko) are described and illustrated for the first time. New data on distribution in China for four species are provided. All treated species are illustrated in colour with black and white photographs of their genitalia in 56 figures. The updated global checklist of the genus Stenoloba with marking of Chinese species is presented.

The genus name Flavala Behounek, Han & Kononenko, 2012 (homonym nov.) must be replaced by Mooreia nomen nov. because Flavala is preoccupied by Flavala Berio, 1966, the junior synonym of Thioptera Franclemont, 1950, the Nearctic Eustrotiinae genus (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae, Eustrortiinae). The name Mooreia is dedicated to Frederic Moore, the famous British lepidopterologist of the nineteenth century, the explorer of the Oriental fauna, described many Lepidoptera taxa including Acronycta flavala Moore, 1867.

The genus Atrovirensis Kononenko, 2001 is reviewed. Four new species (Atrovirensis parannamita sp. n., Atrovirensis furcatus sp. n., Atrovirensis sacculatus sp. n. and Atrovirensis miraculosus sp. n.) are described from China. A new combination Atrovirensis euplexina (Draudt, 1950), comb. n. [Valeria] is proposed. Two taxa of uncertain status (Atrovirensis sp. cf. parannamita and Atrovirensis sp. cf. furcatus) are included to the review. The updated checklist of the genus is presented. All taxa of the genus Atrovirensis are illustrated in colour with black and white photographs of their genitalia in 48 figures.

Stenoloba Staudinger, 1892 is an exclusively East Asian Noctuidae genus of the subfamily Bryophilinae. After global revision of the genus (Kononenko & Ronkay 2000, 2001) the numerous regional revisions and descriptions of separate species appeared (Ronkay 2001; Han & Lu 2007; Han & Kononenko 2009; Behounek & Kononenko 2010; Han et al. 2011; Pekarsky 2011; Sohn & Tzuoo 2012; Pekarsky et al. 2013; Pekarsky & Saldaitis 2013).

Eustrotiinae is a worldwide distributed subfamily of the Noctuidae with approximately up to 700 species in the Old and New World; the members of the subfamily are most diverse in the tropical and subtropical regions. The Eustrotiinae still belongs to the “neglected groups” of the Noctuidae and requires ground revision on generic and specific level systematically.
