Thermal decompositions of some transition metal polyacrylates

Polyacrylales of Fe, Cr, Ni, Co and Mn were synthesized by the reaction of poly(sodium)acrylatc with metal halides. The salts obtained were investigated by thermal analysis. During heating in argon or air, all the salts behaved in a similar way. The initial decomposition temperature of the investigated salts increased in the following sequence: Fe<Cr<Ni<Co<Mn. The solid residues of the decompositions of the salts were also analysed.ZusammenfassungPolyacrylate von Fe, Cr, Ni, Co und Mn wurden durch Reaktion von Natriumpolyacrylat mit den entsprechenden Metallhaliden synthetisiert. Die erhaltenen Salze wurden thermoanalytisch untersucht. Beim Aufheizen in Argon und Luft verhalten sich alle Salze ähnlich. Die Temperatur, bei der die Zersetzung einsetzt, steigt in folgender Reihenfolge an: Fe < Cr < Ni < Co < Mn. Die festen Rückstände der Zersetzung der Salze wurden ebenfalls analysiert.РезюмеПолиакрилаты железа, хрома, никеля, кобальт а и марганца были получе ны реакцией натрий полиакрилата с галогенидами соотв етствующих металлов. Термически й анализ солей, проведенный в атмосф ере воздуха и аргона, п оказал их одинаковое поведени е. Начальные температуры разложе ния исследованных со лей располагаются в ряду Fe<Cr<Ni<Co<Mn. Проведен анализ коне чных продуктов разло жения.

The excess heats of mixing for binary mixtures α-picoline +n-alkanes (C6 to C10) at 298.15 K were measured and a comparison was made with the Prigogine-Flory-Patterson theory and the extended real associated solution method.ZusammenfassungDie molaren Überschubenthalpien binärer Mischungen von α-Picolin mit C6C10n-Alkanen wurden bei 298.15 K im ganzen Zusammensetzungsbereich gemessen. Die gemessenen HE Werte wurden mit denen verglichen, die mit Hilfe von Prigogine-Flory-Patterson Theorie und nach der ERAS-Methode berechnet wurden.

Volumes of mixing 2,4-dimethylpyridine withn-alkanes

In continuation of our work on excess thermodynamic properties of non-electrolyte solutions containing pyridine bases withn-alkanes, we have determined excess molar volumesVE for 2,4-dimethylpyridine + C6 to C10n-alkanes at 25°C. For the investigated systems noVE values were available in the literature for comparison with our data. The experimentalVE was used to test the Prigogine-Flory-Patterson theory (PFP), Extended Real Associated Solutions model (ERAS) and the Treszczanowicz-Benson method (TB).

The results of the computation of H E = f ( x ) by the Prigogine-Flory-Patterson and Extended Real Associated Solution models are compared with the experimental values of H E .

The recapitulation of systematical investigations of excess enthalpy of mixing in binary mixtures: pyridine base +n-alkane or some of arenes is presented. On the base of experimental results as well as model calculations (PFP, ERAS) the discussion of intermolecular interactions in pyridine bases is given.ZusammenfassungEs wird eine kurze Zusammenfassung der systematischen Untersuchungen der Mischungsüberschußenthalpie in binären Gemischen dargelegt: Pyridinabase +n-Alkan oder Aren. Sowohl auf der Grundlage von experimentellen Ergebnissen als auch von Modellberechnungen (PFP, ERAS) werden die intermolekularen Wechselwirkungen in Pyridinbasen diskutiert.

Abstract Enthalpies of mixing for the binaries m -xylene + pyridine and its methyl derivatives have been measured at 298.15 K. The pyridine bases used for the measurements were pyridine, 2-, 3-, and 4-methylpyridine, 2,4-, and 2,6-dimethylpyridine, and 2,4,6-trimethylpyridine. The Prigogine-Flory-Patterson (PFP) model has been applied to describe the experimental results.
