Abstract Photosensitized oxygenation of diethyl sulfide in the presence of α-keto carboxylic acids caused oxidative decarboxylation of the acids by persulfoxide and gave carboxylic acids, carbon dioxide, diethyl sulfoxide and diethyl sulfone.
