A case of a girl who presented with symptoms of gender dysphoria is described here. She received cognitive behavioral therapy that helped her explore her thoughts and address any distorted cognition. She was able to live as a female and changed her mind about undergoing sex change surgery. This article explores the concept of gender dysphoria and the role of psychological interventions in its management.

Health anxiety disorder is a very distressing disorder both to the patients and his health care providers. This case of a man who presented with a preoccupation with having human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection that made him pay for repeated tests-approximately more than 100 times. Eating disorders are serious illnesses with significant impact on both physical and socio-emotional health of young people; they also have a negative impact on families and cause significant mortality and morbidity. This case series discusses seven Omani adolescents who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder at the Department of Behavioural Medicine at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Oman. The aim of this case series was to increase the level of awareness of eating disorders among Omans health-care professionals and most importantly, to highlight the complexity and difficulties faced in managing these adolescents.
