The co ef fi cients of oil and wa ter trans fer re sis tance in po rous me dia are the ba sis of nu mer i cal study on the mi gra tion of con tam i na tion in the pipe line, soil clean ing, oil field wa ter flood ing, and oil field wa ter treat ment. Based on the quar tet struc ture gen er a tion set, the po rous me dia with ran dom dis tri bu tion are con structed. The lat tice Boltzmann method is used to sim u late the mesoscopic mi gra tion of oil and wa ter in po rous me dia. Then the dis tri bu tion law of oil and wa ter ve loc ity and pres sure in po rous me dia is an a lyzed, and the fit ting equa tions of oil and wa ter re sis tance co ef fi cients are ob tained un der dif fer ent po ros ity. The re sults show that when the oil and wa ter mi grate in po rous me dia, the vis cous re sis tance co ef fi cient is larger than the in er tia re sis tance fac tor, and the vis cos ity re sis tance co ef fi cient of wa ter is ob vi ously higher than that of oil, while the co ef fi cient of in er tia re sis tance of oil and wa ter is nearly same.

Optical properties of oilfield wastewater play an important role in the on-line measurement of oil content. As an important parameter of optical properties, absorption coefficient is usually obtained by indirectly modeling transmittance spectra. In this work, transmittance spectra of oilfield wastewater in the wavelength range of 190–900 nm at normal incidence were measured by TU-1900 double beam ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer. The absorption coefficient of oilfield wastewater was obtained by a double thickness method, and the relationship between the oil content in oilfield wastewater and its absorption coefficient was studied. The results show that the transmittance spectra of oilfield wastewater decrease with the increase of oil content. The oil content of oilfield wastewater is found to correlate negatively with its transmittance. The oil content of oilfield wastewater and its absorption coefficient have a good fitting effect at 234 nm, and the fitting error of three order polynomial fitting is minimal, with a range of 0.02–5.39%, and the fitting accuracy is 0.9940.

Numerical Simulation on Gas-Liquid Flow Field in Tee Tube Separator

Hanbing Qi; Jiadong Sun; Guozhong Wu; Dong Li

The water content measuring of the crude oil with gas influencing is serious. The key of popularizing the gas-liquid separator is improving the gas-liquid separating efficiency and decreasing the energy consumption. The phase distribution and the pressure characteristic of the two-phase flow in tee tube were analyzed in this paper, and the phase separation principle of tee tube was given, then the physical and mathematical models of the tee tube separator were established. The phase and pressure distribution of the two-phase flow in tee tube were simulated using FLUENT 6.3, and analyzed the influence of the number of the branch pipe of the same side in gas-liquid separation. The result shows that the influence of the number of the branch pipe of the same side was greatly urgent. And with 3 branch pipes, the gas content at the throttle orifice was from 0.2 of the entrance to 9.18×10− 5. The conclusions have provided some basis for the further application of the tee tube gas-liquid separator.

Optimization of Oil Field Injection Pipe Network Model Based on Electromagnetism-Like Mechanism Algorithm

Hanbing Qi; Qiushi Wang; Guozhong Wu; Dong Li

The accuracy of water injection pipe network hydraulic model is directly related to the fitting degree of water injection pipe network actual running state. In order to improve the accuracy, using optimization algorithm of electromagnetic-like mechanism to correct the pipe friction coefficient was introduced. To meet constraint conditions, such as the pipe network hydraulic balance and range of parameters, establishing a new oil field injection water distribution network optimization model, the experience estimate of the pipe friction coefficient was introduced to the electromagnetic mechanism optimization algorithms in order to achieve the pipe friction correction. The results show that the node flow calculated value obtained from using the electromagnetism-like mechanism optimization algorithm calibrate water injection pipe network hydraulic model is in good agreement with node actual flow.

Numerical Simulation of Ground Surface Temperature Field of Buried Oil Pipeline with Multi-Spot Leakage

Hanbing Qi; Chang Xing; Guozhong Wu; Dong Li

The temperature field characteristics of ground surface of buried leakage pipeline with multi-spot leakage and the mutual influences of leakage spots provided the important theoretical basics for repairing the leakage pipeline, which can accurately determine the number and locations of the leakage spots. With buried oil pipeline as research objects, the coupled model about flow and heat transfer for oil-water two phase fluid of buried oil pipeline in the porous soil was established, and the calculated region of leakage pipeline was zoomed by similarity theory. Using the CFD software Fluent 6.3, numerical simulation of ground surface temperature field of buried oil pipeline with multi-spot leakage and the mutual influences of leakage spots were accomplished. Results show that: (1) when CT; = CL2, NuA = NuB and ReA = ReB, the phenomenon A and B have the similarity of heat transfer and flow; (2) when the distance of leakage spots is 3m, the mutual influences of leakage spots are larger, and the leakage region of the ground surface temperature field is oval; (3) the ground surface temperature field distribution of multi-spot leakage is obvious, and the temperature difference has arrived 10K in 3 hours.
