Location and Direction in Toba: Verbal Morphology

0. Toba, a Guaykuruan language spoken primarily in the Argentine Chaco, places considerable emphasis on spatial orientation.2 This orientation is represented by the obligatory categories in the morphology which indicate direction, location, and position of the various participants in the speech event.
