Kaloka Art Studio is a place to learn art, especially dance. Kaloka Art Studio is a studio that traditioning Slendang Pemalang Dance which become the pride of Pemalang Regency society. The problem in this study are (1) how is the embodiment of Slendang Dance is a depiction of regional identity and (2) how is the role of Kaloka Art Studio in traditioning Slendang Dance as the regional identity. The objective of this study is to asses the embodiment of Slendang dance and analyze the role of Kaloka Art Studio in traditioning the Slendang Pemalang Dance. This study uses qualitative approachment. The data collection techniques including observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis are using data reduction, data serving and conclusion. The result of this research is the manifestation of Slendang Pemalang Dance as regional identity. The role of Kaloka Art Studio in traditioning Slendang dance has been done through training and dance performances. Training Studio as a model of non-formal learning. The conclusion of this research are (1)the embodiment of Slendang Pemalang Dance according tonthe dance element which is wiraga, wirama , wirasa and costume according to the characteristic of the Pemalang society; (2) the role of Kaloka Art Studio in traditioning the dance through socialization, training and performance of the dance.

Mangkunagaran dance style is regarded as a cultural identity that is highly upheld by Mangkunagarans society. In the organization that lives in Mangkunagaran, the sustainability of Mangkunagaran dance style is protected by the special art institution namely Langen Praja, under a bigger organization in Mangkunagaran namely Reksa Budaya. The existence of Mangkunagaran dance style is in fact related to the custom and tradition in Pura Mangkunagaran. The aim of this research is to find out how Mangkunagaran dance style is and what kind of roles that Mangkunagaran dance style has that may influence the custom and tradition in Pura Mangkunagaran. Methods used in this research is qualitative. Techniques of data collection used were observation, interview, and documentation study and the data validity technique implemented was data triangulation. Meanwhile, the data was analysed by using text analysis towards the Mangkunagaran dance style and the context analysis towards the role of Mangkunagaran dance in the custom and tradition had by Pura Mangkunagaran.

The purpose of this research is to describe Likok Pulo Aceh dance as an educational media of religious values in Pulo Aceh society. This research used qualitative research method with interdisciplinary approach. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher used triangulation to check the validity of data. Then it analyzed using reduction flow, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the messages that delivered from Likok Pulo Aceh dance through the dancers was when dancers perform the movement of the dance and poetry (syair), it gave advice to the Acehnese people especially in the people Pulo Aceh about Allah SWT’s rules and the relationship between the society. From the movements of dancers such as the movement of Saleum until the closing movement of Likok Pulo Aceh dance have some values which are aqidah, muamalah and morals and almost all the poems (lyric) which was sang by the dancers give some messages. The messages that conveyed relating to aqidah, mumalah and morals, especially the relationship between God and human being. Regarding to the relationship between Allah SWT and human being was how to pray in a good way and did not forsake for Salat and Shalawat to our Prophet Muhammad SAW. For young people or the future generations, they should not deny their parents, did not occupy the bad lust, for men and women there was a procedure of how to choose life companion that appropriate with the doctrine of Islam or the Shari’a. As long as the relationship between human and human, we should respect and always keep the hospitality to each other. This research is expected to instill these values for next generation and keep on preserved.

Linda merupakan tarian tradisional suku Muna yang disajikan ketika puncak upacara ritual karia atau pingitan. Pertunjukan Linda juga sebagai ungkapan rasa terimakasih kepada para penonton yang telah membantu kelancaran acara, rasa syukur kepada para peserta karia yang telah melewati tahapan ritual yang begitu rumit dan sebagai simbol pembersihan diri bagi gadis-gadis karia atau pingitan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna simbolik pertunjukan Linda dalam upacara ritual karia di Kabupaten Muna Barat Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan Antropologi Seni, Sosiologi Seni dan Pendidikan Seni. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah melakukan interpretasi berdasarkan konsep pertunjukan, gaya, isi tarian, dan konsep interpretasi spesifik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertunjukan Linda mempunyai makna sebagai proses pendewasaan, pembersihan seorang gadis remaja dan sebagai simbol moral atau etika. Linda is the traditional dance in tribe Muna that serves in the peak of Karia ceremony. The performance of karia is to represent thankgiving to the spectators that has assisted the best performances, blessing toward karia actors who have decreased complicated steps in the ritual and as the symbol of ritual for the karia girls. This study aimed at describing symbolic meaning from performance of karia in District West Muna, Southeast Sulawesi. The method of this study was qualitative with art education approach. The techniques of collecting data were observation, interview, and documentary study. The triangulation used interpretation based on concept of performance, style, content of dance, and concept of specific interpretation. The result indicated that performance of Linda has the meaning as the process of maturation, ritual for girls, and as a symbol of ethics.

Gandes Luwes traditional dance studio plays important roles in conserving traditional arts, especially tembang dolanan (traditional game song) as the musical art made based on the growth level of children. Beside used as a song, Tembang Dolanan also contains moral values or wisdoms as well as be enhanced with the creativity from the creator studio in its structure and rhythm pattern. This research reviewed or analyzed the forms and creativity of Tembang Dolanan. This research used qualitative approach by understanding and describing the phenomenon of creative backsound music as to fulfill the needs of the market or the society to support the development of Tembang Dolanan.
