Kinerja Penerangan Alam pada Hunian Rumah Susun Dupak Bangunrejo Surabaya

The development of the old Betang house design to the new one can be observed from the cultural point of view covering several aspects such as the architectural shape of the house, space patterns, site and interior arrangements, and the placement of columns, decorative elements and conditional systems. The cultural background of the society becomes the parameter of this research in order to reveal any development which may have taken place by observing how the religious system influences the rituals, culturs and the society’s way of thinking,, the community organization system that manages social interactions among the community, the working system as the source to fulfill daily needs, the technology used as supporting systems to fulfill the needs of life, and art as a medium to express themselves. The results show that there is a development from a simple lifestyle into a much complex one, which can be seen from the changes in the size and shape of the house, the raw materials used on both the building and the furniture, as well as the supporting equipments used for daily life by the Dayak ethnic group in central Kalimantan. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Perkembangan rumah Betang suku Dayak model lama ke model baru dapat dilihat dari sudut budaya yang meliputi bentuk rumah secara arsitektural, pola ruang, tata letak, peletakan tiang, elemen ruang, elemen dekoratif dari tata kondisional. Budaya dalam rnasyarakat menjadi tolak ukur dari penelitian untuk mengetahui adanya perkembangan yang terjadi dengan mengetahui bagaimana sistem religi mempengaruhi adat istadat dan cara pandang yang ada dalam masyarakat, sistem organisasi masyarakat yang mengatur interaksi sosial dimana terjalin satu hubungan antar masyarakat, sistem mata pencaharian guna pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup, teknologi peralatan sebagai penunjang pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup, dan kesenian untuk mengekspresikan diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan itu terjadi dari kehidupan yang sederhana menjadi kehidupan yang lebih kompleks. Hal itu terlihat dari perubahan ukuran dan bentuk bangunan, bahan yang digunakan, baik itu pada bangunan maupun perabotan, serta peralatan penunjang kehidupan sehari-hari pada rumah Betang suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. STUDI PERSYARATAN TANGGA DARURAT PADA RUMAH TOKO DI SURABAYA

A shop-house is a simple and practical alternative residential space that can accommodate various activities from small economic scale to the combination of living and working functions. This triggers the uncontrolled development of shop-house construction so as to meet the increasing demands of users. The demand of short-time construction has caused the shop-houses to be constructed poorly with low considerations to safety, adding to misuse. This has caused fire cases in the shop-houses sacrificing many lives who were unable to evacuate from the building. Using the qualitative and descriptive method of research, this research aims to provide solutions and alternative emergency staircase designs appropriate for shop-houses in Surabaya to increase the safety of the users
