The objective of this research was to examine the perception of managers, workers and trainees about the actions of the Program of Quality of Life at Work (QVT) of a public organization. To this end, three studies were undertaken, a quantitative and two qualitative. In the first of them a scale to assess the perception or workers about the stretch-break, the main activity of the QVT program, was built and validated. The instrument was applied to a convenience sample of 623 workers. The factor analysis with rotation promax indicated the existence of four factors: teachers (a= 0.89, 7 items), the relationship between workers (a = 0,77, 5 items), the labor benefits of stretch-break (a= 0.74, 5 items) and the method of work (a= 0,58, 4 items). The second study conducted with trainees showed that they realize that their participation in the program assists actions in their vocational training. A third one held with managers and workers showed that they know and value all the actions of the program, however, excessive labor demand and lack of infrastructure were seen as gaps. The results of the quantitative and qualitative studies and findings were discussed in the light of the theory.

The study of entrepreneurship is relevant because it is a core aspect to the development of a country. It could be considered the true propeller of economic development in a capitalist society. The various theoretical concepts about the entrepreneur have often generated different theoretical developments and empirical approaches. The constructs related to this topic can be investigated at the individual (entrepreneurial alertness, entrepreneurial intent) and organizational (entrepreneurial orientation) levels. Recently, the relevance of psychological contribution has been recognized considering that entrepreneurship is essentially personal and that is why this study focuses on the psychology of entrepreneurship. Some authors advocate that an entrepreneur is the person that starts a new organization and/or evaluates new opportunities to introduce new products, services, and processes. However, other academics consider this is a reductionist and limited concept because it does not reflect the broad meaning of the construct. In order to outline a national overview of studies on psychology of entrepreneurship, the main objectives of this work are to summarize the state-of-the-art regarding the construct, and to perform a bibliometric review comprising the empirical studies produced in first-line psychology journals (≥ Qualis CAPES B2) from 2006 to 2015, to highlight the Brazilian production and compare it with international literature on the subject. The analysis will allow the identification of the main advances in this field, the research gaps, and the proposition of a research agenda. Results are relevant because of their practical implications to managers and workers in general.

In face of a growing demand for new creations in the increasingly competitive corporate world, creativity has been a prominent theme in organizations. This chapter reviews national and international literature on this subject. Initially, the concept of creativity is discussed from the individual perspective to the organizational perspective. Following, the main models of analysis are presented, as well as the psychological theories that have been used to understand this complex phenomenon. Subsequently, training programs are presented that illustrate real actions that can be undertaken with the aim of fostering creativity. In conclusion, an integrative and potentializing model of creativity at work is proposed, which was built on the basis of empirical evidence and can be used as a management tool.
