An organization environment is composed by different perspectives that, in concert, aim to fulfill the business strategy. One of these perspectives is Human Resources (HR), responsible for filling the gap between the HR Structure and the business strategy demands. The strategic role of HR faces the challenge of the instability from the internal and external environment, which requires continuous adaptation. Aiming to reduce these intrinsic difficulties, many organizational modeling techniques try to help alignment analysis by facilitating the understanding of business dynamics. These efforts rely on, for example, mappings, explaining interactions and tracing cause and effect situations among business elements. In this paper, we contribute to the HR strategic alignment analysis by adding the competency concept to an organizational modeling language (GPI). Our goal on this integration is twofold: add HR concerns to organizational layers (operational, tactic and strategic), and explicitly model the impacts of misalignments over business strategic goals. In our study, we rely on knowledge from the HR and Competency Management literature. We demonstrate the contributions of our proposal by using it in a real case from a health organization.

Process modelling is often criticized as lacking proper alignment with business goals. Although there is literature on different proposals to address the issue, the verification of this alignment remains an obstacle during process enactment. We make use of key process indicator (KPI) in a process design method to annotate processes/activities with proper information. The method derives this information from the business goals and uses it to calculate process indicators. We demonstrate through a real example, modelled with the ARIS business process model tool, how the method produces proper indicators, which should be used during process enactment.

A key issue in business process modelling (BPM) is to manage the complexity in order to design a comprehensible process. This paper builds upon the idea of the aspect-oriented business process modelling (AO-BPM), a proposal to enhance the modularity of business process models. The paper focuses the development of an AO-BPM tool, CrossOryx, which aims to enable the use of the AO-BPM perspective. This perspective is divided into two parts: 1) core process: containing the model which represents essential business process elements; 2) aspect elements: that contains elements that are transversal to the core process. CrossOryx extends Oryx and includes new elements to model crosscutting concerns and to compose them with the core process. It offers different visualisations, each one showing a different perspective of the BPM - the core perspective, the crosscutting perspective, and the AO-BPM perspective that represents the weaving of the core and the crosscutting

The organizational environment is defined by a complex and dynamic interaction of elements that act together to achieve goals. Organizational modeling helps stakeholders to better understand this complexity and analyze details in order to help the identification of changes that are necessary to keep the organization aligned with its strategic goals. However, it is still hard to map the many organizational perspectives into an organizational model. In our research, we are seeking to improve organizational alignment analysis using models, in special through the design of the GPI-HR language. We have identified the need to define patterns to map the concepts of human competency and context that are required in the organizational modeling to evaluate alignment over the human resources perspective. We present the patterns and how they are used in the GPI-HR language.

A analise de requisitos nao funcionais (RNF) e um desafio e vem sendo explorado na literatura cientifica ha muito tempo. Tal iniciativa deve-se ao fato da existencia do problema de se verificar o uso das operacionalizacoes desse tipo de requisito no software construido. Nesse trabalho apresentamos um metodo, com tecnicas e ferramentas de apoio, que verificam se um software esta em conformidade com padroes de RNF estabelecidos em catalogo como alternativa para o problema de verificacao de RNF. Verificacao e uma tecnica de analise que prescinde da execucao do software, isto e, da demonstracao de seu comportamento. O termo verificacao e usado em contraponto ao termo validacao. O espectro da verificacao vai desde provas de programas contra especificacoes em um sentido mais formal, ate a inspecao visual de programas num sentido menos formal . A estrategia adotada utiliza agentes autonomos para verificacao de conformidade de software em relacao a operacionalizacoes de RNF, para isso utiliza uma base de conhecimentos de padroes persistidos em um catalogo. Os resultados, parciais, sao indicativos de que a proposta de solucao e aplicavel. A avaliacao da validade da-se por demonstracao de que um metodo parcialmente automatizado que e eficaz na identificacao de conformidades. Um diferencial na proposta e que, de maneira geral, os trabalhos com foco em verificacao sao fortemente voltados para a visao funcional, enquanto a solucao aqui apresentada e inovadora na ligacao dos RNF a sua efetiva implantacao. Como prova de conceito aplicou-se e customizou-se uma tecnica de padroes de RNFs baseados em orientacao a objetivos em estudos de caso de exemplos do cotidiano pratico de software. Como tambem a construcao de um framework de agentes, que operam sob notacoes XML, para identificar conformidades de software em relacao a um catalogo de RNF.
