In order to develop a new tool for modeling and simulation, more effective for multi-triangular patch antenna, we thought, in this paper, to use the Bond-Graph approach jointly with the Scattering formalism. Indeed, what we seek is a simple, effective, fast tool, allowing integrating our antenna with other components. This new technique is based on a physical interpretation of patch antennas that will lead to a conventional Bond-Graph model. The analytical procedure operating Scattering parameters, developed in our previous research, will be applied on the Bond-Graph model of patch antenna to validate the results.

In this paper, we propose a new technique for analyzing patch antennas by the Bond Graph approach. Our technique is to identify and simulate the scattering parameters of a multi-triangular patch antenna from the Bond Graph model. This methodology involves two important steps. The first step is the development of the Bond Graph model by physical interpretation; the second is the determination and the simulation of the scattering parameters by an analytical procedure. This step is followed by a result validation by using comparison to the simulation results of the same structure found by the HP-ADS.

Microstrip patch antennas play a very significant role in communication systems. In recent years, the study to improve their performances has made great progression, and different methods have been proposed to optimize their characteristics such as the gain, the bandwidth, the impedance matching and the resonance frequency. This paper presents a new method that allows to ameliorate the impedance matching, thus to increase the gain of a rectangular microstrip antenna. This method is based on the adaptation technique using a simple “L” matching network. The originality of this work is the exploitation of the principle of causality that permits to detect the problems of reflected waves and to obtain the suitable placement of components that constitute the matching circuit.

In this paper, we propose to analyze the physical characteristics of a planar dualcomposite right-left handed transmission line by a common application of Bond Graph approach and Scattering formalism (Methodology S.BG). The technique, we propose consists, on the one hand, of modeling of a dual composite right-left metamaterial transmission line (D-CRLH-TL) by Bond Graph approach, and, it consists of extracting the equivalent circuit of this studied structure. On the other hand, it consists to exploiting the scattering parameters (Scattering matrix) of the DCRLH-TL using the methodology which we previously developed since 2009. Finally, the validation of the proposed and used technique is carried out by comparisons between the simulations results with ADS and Maple (or MatLab).
