Design and Application of Multi-Terminal Parameters-Monitored System Based on ARM for Tunnel Drilling Rigs

In order to know the working state of drilling rig in far distance without going near the working site, a new control method of multiterminal parameters-monitored system based on ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) for coal mine tunnel underground was introduced in this paper. Firstly, the input signal from sensor module was transported into ARM processor and treated, and then outputted to all the display terminals in multi-optical signal through the communication processor circuit, at last the parameters will be displayed on screen after a conversion process of optical signal. In this paper, a brief introduction of tunnel drilling rig was firstly done, and then the control scheme and principle were introduced, the hardware and software were designed in detailed, at last it was proved in actual project application that it has the merits of easy installation, far monitoring distance, multiple terminals and flexible display with high project application value.

Application of Wire Line Coring Technology in Horizontal Borehole Drilling

The demand of deep and peripheral resource exploration in old mine has been much more urgent as the shallow resource is less, the tunnel drilling exploration is a short cut for deep resource exploration in old mine. Use explosives to dig tunnel is still the main tunnel exploration method in our country, this method is slow and the costs are high. Horizontal borehole wire line coring technology is efficient and labor saving; it will be the main construction method of tunnel exploration. The difficulty which exists in the use of horizontal borehole wire line coring technology is the starting point of our study. Introduce the research and development of high speed drilling rig, the horizontal borehole wire line coring tools have these characteristics, such as the device to Maintain concentricity of spearhead, composite position fixed structure, the inside tube can segmented removed and so on.Introduce the key technology of the horizontal wire line coring technology. The experiment with this set of equipment complete with a diameter of 78.5 mm, depth of 401.8 m horizontal hole, take coring rate reached 90.87%, validate the reliability and advancement of the technology and equipment.

Integrated Design of Drilling Rig for Gas Drainage in Underground Coal Mines Based on Virtual Prototype

Gas drainage borehole drilling efficiency is relied on the performance of gas drainage drilling rig. In this paper, an integrated model for virtual prototype of drill rig is built firstly from the perspective of rig’s make-up, which is used for gas drainage in underground coal mines. This model consists of five sub-models, which involve geometry, assembly, structural strength, hydraulic performance and multi-body dynamics. Then an integrated design procedure of drill rig is presented, and the virtual development environment is formed, which includes two modules of modelling and simulation. In the end, a case of directional drill rig ZDY6000LD (A) is given to demonstrate the proposed model and procedure. The stability of stabilizer is analysed, and co-simulation of hydraulic and multi-body dynamics in the condition of directional drilling is also made. It has been shown that virtual prototype is effective for the integrated design of underground drill rig.

Hydraulic system design for tunnel drilling rig based on pump-controlled technology

In order to raise the performance of tunnel drilling rig with all hydraulic head type, pump-controlled technology was applied in hydraulic system design. Working condition and basic circuit of hydraulic system were analyzed in this paper, at the base of which some disadvantages of the hydraulic system with valve-controlled technology were introduced. A comparison of characteristic and working condition was made between two pump-controlled technologies as load sensing and constant pressure output variable, The above two pump-controlled technologies were used in ZDY4000L track-mounted all hydraulic tunnel drilling rig, ZDY4000L type drilling rig was taken as an example to presents the distinct superiority of pump-controlled technology.
