The greenhouse temperature model is built based on the balance of the energy. A new real-coded genetic algorithm (GA) for self-tuning fuzzy logic control (FLC) of greenhouse temperature is proposed, in which, an arithmetical crossover operator, a ranking-based reproduction operator and a non-uniform mutation operator are adopted. The Gaussian input membership functions for the error and the change-in-error of the temperature of FLC is optimized by GA in terms of the root-mean-square error (RMSE) with setpoint and input energy. Compared with the basic fuzzy control, the tuned FLC gives better performance in terms of improving control precision and saving energy

This paper presents a novel control system for franking machine. A methodology for operating a franking machine using the functional controls consisting of connection, configuration and franking electromechanical drive is studied. A set of enabling technologies to synthesize postage management software architectures driven microprocessor-based embedded systems is proposed. The cryptographic algorithm that calculates mail items is analyzed to enhance the postal indicia accountability and security. The study indicated that the franking machine is reliability, performance and flexibility in printing mail items.

The artificial intelligent techniques are proposed for the control of the greenhouse microclimate, and a new real-coded genetic algorithm (RCGA) for optimizing fuzzy logic control (FLC) of greenhouse temperature is developed. Based on the balance of the energy, the model of the temperature in the greenhouse is built. According to the model, Gaussian input membership functions the error and the change-in-error of the temperature of FLC is optimised by RCGA in terms of the root-mean-square error (RMSE) with setpoint and input energy. The good performance control curve line of the greenhouse temperature is obtained using the optimized FLC. Compared with the conventional fuzzy control of greenhouse microclimate, it gives better performance in terms of precision, energy and robustness.

This paper presents the design and implementation of franking machine control system using an embedded microcontroller. An ARM9 microcontroller and embedded real-time operating system RTAI-Linux were employed to implement the machine control and postage management. The implementation methodologies for embedded control system and franking mechatronic drive were studied. The test results show that the machine franks mail items in high performance and better reliability.
