Design and Research of Vertical Multistage Barrel Condensate Pump

Vertical multistage barrel condensate pump is important equipment applied in the wide range of industry. However, the pump performances such as efficiency, net positive suction (NPSH) and reliability are not so good and could not meet the use requirements. In this paper, based on investigations of the traditional vertical multistage barrel condensate pump, some innovative design methods were proposed, which had the following main aspects: first stage wheel with an inducer praevia, the new design of hydraulic element, the innovative design of sets for seal and equilibrium of axial forces, the numerical analysis and optimum design. The experiment results show that the new designs could improve performances of the pump and meet the use requirements. The research achievement won the second prize for Science and Technology Award of Zhejiang Province.

Research and Design of Sealing Device in Hot Water Circulating Pump for High Temperature and High Pressure

Hot water circulating pump for high temperature and high pressure is important equipment applied in the wide range of industry. However, in China, the seal of this pump is not so good and could not meet the use requirements. In this paper, based on investigations of the seal for this pump in China, the main problem of the seal was found out. Also, a new sealing device of hot water circulating pump for high temperature and high pressure was designed, which was composed of floating ring seal, combined seal, packing seal and special double-decker cooling system. The experiment results show that the new design could improve the seal performance of the pump and meet the use requirements.Copyright

The Technology Development Analysis of Double Suction Rinsing Centrifugal Pump between Domestic and Abroad

Based on investigations of the main national pump enterprises, the performance data about 3,000 types of double suction rinsing centrifugal pump were collected, and the measurement data, standard data and sample data of performance indexes such as efficiency and net positive suction (NPSH) were compared and analyzed. The hydraulic characteristics of the products in the domestic and abroad were compared and analyzed, and the differences of products technology were found out. The study results show that the efficiency index of foreign products is higher than that of domestic by 2.5%, but the performance index of NPSH in domestic is better than foreign by 0.97m. The main reasons for the disparity are different rotate speed, different levels of design and manufacturing and the technology imbalance.
