This paper considers the mean square stabilization for a kind of network control system (NCS) in which there exist network-induced delay and stochastic packet dropout between sensor and controller. This kind of NCS is modelled as a Markovian switched system with two subsystems. Using the average dwell time method, we design a state feedback controller to guarantee that NCS be mean square exponentially stable. An illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

After introducing the features and requirements in an industrial control networks, the properties of several wireless media access control protocols such as MACA, MACAW, IEEE802.il and WTRP are analyzed. An innovative MAC protocol based on token control is proposed to suit the requirements of WICN (Wireless Industrial Control Network). Logical ring under wireless link is defined; mechanisms of token resuming, joining and exiting of stations are introduced respectively. Then a simulation model has been made to compare the protocol with 802.11 upon OMNeT++ concrete event simulation platform. The results demonstrate that the throughput in the proposed protocol is ca.50% higher than CSMA/CA and has a smaller transmission delay. The protocol ensures the impartiality of channel medium access; reduces the transmitting delay of data and meets the time requirement of WICN.

This paper introduces the design and implementation of a Wi-Fi wireless meter reading system. The design of management software and wireless terminal including hardware and embedded software are introduced in detail. ARM9 and Linux are adopted for the implementation of wireless terminal. The communication between wireless terminal and management software is realized by the program based on Winsock. Access2003 is used for the storage of information. Smart Message Language (SML Protocol) is used to design the data structure aiming to make data communication maximally simple and suitable for implementation in low-power embedded systems and solve the communication problem between different equipment. A Wi-Fi network experiment system including a intelligent meter, a wireless terminal, an access point and the management software is constructed to test the performance of the wireless meter reading system and the result shows that the meter data can be correctly received and updated every two seconds which indicates that the system has good communication performance and reaches the purpose of meter reading, efficiently solving the low safety and efficiency problems of traditional meter reading

In order to solve the problems of the communication among various metering devices in the traditional wireless meter reading system, Smart Message Language (SML) which is the definition of the German national standard for Automatic Meter Reading System is introduced. In this paper, the Wireless Meter Reading system is developed based on WI-FI, with the monitoring terminal of the hardware platform made up of Marvell 88W8686, the ARM7 processor and peripheral circuits, using μC/OS-¿operating system and LwIP protocol. VC++ and MDB database is used to develop a management software. SML protocol is adopted to design the format of the data frame to create a unified data structure for data procurement. This system archives the function of reading meter data from hardware, data processing and storage. The experiment result proves that this type of data structure improves the transmission efficiency and the performance of the system and is suitable for implementation in low-power embedded systems.
