The effectiveness of the magnetic confinement of plasma can be improved by elongating the plasma cross-section in tokamak devices. But elongated plasma has vertical displacement instability, so a feedback control system is needed to restrain the plasmas vertical displacement. A fast control power supply is needed to excite the active feedback coils, which produces a magnetic field to control the plasmas displacement. With the development of EAST, the fast control power supply needs to keep on enhancing the fast response and output current. The structure of a new power supply is introduced in this paper. The method of multiple inverters paralleled with the current sharing reactor is presented to meet the need for large current and fast control. According to the design demands of the EAST fast control power supply, the adjuster of the current close loop is applied to the inverter, which can advance its ability to restrain the loop current in low frequency and DC output. The result of the experiment confirms the validity of the proposed scheme and control strategy.

A feedback control system is needed to restrain plasma vertical displacement in EAST (Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak). A fast control power supply excites active feedback coils, which produces a magnetic field to control the plasmas displacement. With the development of EAST, new demands on the new fast control power supply have led to an enhanced ability of fast response and output current, as well as a new control mode. The structure of cascaded and paralleled H-bridges can meet the demand of extended capacity, and digital control can realize current and voltage mixed control mode. The validity of the proposed scheme is confirmed by experiments.

It is a global tendency for manufac- hirers to be concerned about the environment, which leads to the appearance of Green Design. There exist many complicated multi-objective and multi-criteria decision making problems in the Green Design process. The framework to illustrate these problems is presented. Based on TOPSIS, the modified new method called Green Utility Similarity (GUS) is demonstrated to solve the decision-making problems. The Green Utility Similarity method incorporates the non-linear normalization different from the commonly used linear method. The case study of air-conditioner green design alternatives selection, with both GUS method and TOPSIS, shows that GUS method is feasible and effective.

With increasing environmental and economical concerns, more and more nations have highly focused on the recycling and disposal of waste products. To assess the product recycling process, the economical analysis and environmental analysis of disassembling and recycling waste products are carried out, while the assessment of specific recycling processes has been almost ignored. As material recycling is one of the main recycling modes, this paper systematically discusses the assessment of waste product recycling processes, and presents the assessment method supported by material recycling databases. In order to make the material recycling process economically feasible as well as environmentally conscious, the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method is applied to select the optimal one from all the feasible process solutions. Finally, a case study shows that this method is operable and reasonable.
