A User Authentication Method for M2M Environments

Jin-Mook Kim; Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

The request about green IT technology is increasing recently. M2M is more request to IT Technology for Cloud computing. And effective use request of computer resource is increasing. So, necessity about Cloud computing is increasing rapidly thereby. However, Cloud computing environment have big security problems because embody using virtualization technology. It is Authentication that must solve in Cloud computing environment urgently. Therefore, we wishes to propose protocol that can solve suitable user and services certification in cloud computing environment. An novel authentication protocol that based on Kerberos. But it is faster than Kerberos and implement is easy.

Study of Generating Animated Character Using the Face Pattern Recognition

Seongsoo Cho; Bhanu Shrestha; Bong-Hwa Hong; Hwa-Young Jeong

The similar character of input video image can be generated by combining each components points after extracting the position of each component points using the ratio of face. By selecting the face area, in case of the upper half image, the neck and stained hair become change and accuracy of recognition of selected area becomes low, so in order to compensate the area of inaccuracy, we can find the shape of face, eyes and mouth applying the golden ratio and the character is reflected in the results. Using color informations of the image of the face, the TSL color can be analysed and shown the face recognition ratio of 1.7%. The components in each five input images (left and right eyes, eyebrows and mouth) by selecting the test results showed the performance of 88.3%. By analyzing the characteristics of the elements found in those features automatically generate the appropriate characters, and the rabbit character can be automatically generated from the animation story of ‘Rabbit and Tortoise’ made by flash tool. Using the TSL color model, the face shape and the eyes, eyebrow, nose, mouth, and ears are visualised in a 2D. In the digital cultural content, the character is automatically generated by video input image and oneself can be staged as a hero in the animation which is the development of a new digital cultural contents.

Construction of Learner`s Differential Contents for Self-Directed Learning

Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

A lot of learning systems are applying self-directed learning to increase learner`s learning effect. But most of this methods are hardly applied to fit the construction of learning contents considering learner`s characteristics or it was processing the learning course without learner`s choice. In this research, we proposed the recommendation method that can support the learning contents as calculate learner`s preference contents based on learning history information when learner design the learning course. In the result, we chose test learner group and was able to know to generally increase average score of each learner after test between existing method and proposal one.

A Study on the Improvement of Interoperability in Rok C4I System for Future Warfare

Hyun-Jeong Cha; Jin-Mook Kim; Hwang-Bin Ryou; Hwa-Young Jeong

The basic idea of Network Centric Warfare (NCW) is that data processing capabilities of computers and communication technologies of a network can be leveraged to guarantee information sharing, which will increase the efficiency of running a military. Amid advancements being made in IT, the Korea military is one of the militaries in the world doing research on ways of conducting more effective warfare, which it aims to achieve by connecting each of the entities together and sharing battlefield resources. However, maintaining interoperability between different systems is an issue, caused by the fact that different militaries have different tactics and weapon systems. In this paper, the current state of interoperability is examined, for when the Korean military builds a C4I system in preparation for future warfare. Furthermore, interoperability cases in the US are analyzed, and matters of consideration and various technologies for interoperability are proposed.

A Dual CPU Based Fault Tolerance Technique for Manufacturing System

Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

To promote productivity is very important work in manufacturing system. For this work, manufacturing system has to operate with high performance without jam or system error. And it has to perform to interface and control with unit component or process in high speed communication and handing the signal and data. In this paper, we propose dual CPU based process for manufacturing system. To perform the process reducing any jam or system error in manufacturing system, we use dual CPU. This framework is able to get more efficient operation performance better than existence method.

CSP Based Relation Structure for Social Network Service

Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

Social networking sites (SNS) have infiltrated people’s daily life with amazing rapidity to become an important social platform for computer-mediated communication. SNS provides a method of communicating, employing computers as a collaborate process to accelerate group formation and increase group scope and influence. Therefore it is important to identify and design their relation in SNS. In this paper, we make a human relation model for SNS considering each factor’s correlation in social environment. The factors were Person, Interesting and Society. We also consider their behavior and interaction that person does to keep their relationship with their interesting and society. For this process, we use CSP that is well known in formal method to process analysis. And finally, we define person’s relation and interaction in SNS using CSP.

Service Based Software Fault-Tolerance for Manufacturing System

Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

Manufacturing system consists of many components such as robots, motors, cylinders and sensors. It also operates in poor environment in the factory. Worst thing is, it is difficult to control, manage and repair the system for system engineer when the manufacturing system has jam or error. Because the system engineer stay hard always beside the manufacturing system. Therefore automatic recover system is necessary. In this paper, we propose web based software fault-tolerance for manufacturing system. Due to use the web service, the system use UDDI server. The Manufacturing service system that is to provide system software consists of 4 programs; Operating program, Control program, Management program and Fault-Tolerance program. Especially Fault-Tolerance program provide the system recovery process as a service to the manufacturing system at the distance location. It performs the automatic recover process when the manufacturing system has the jam or error.

Web Based Self Adjust Learning System with LCMS

Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

E-learning system can support efficient learning process and method to users by internet. They are able to use and access the learning system at anytime and anywhere. In this process, the success learning process is depending on their volition for the learning course. For this process, e-learning system normally uses self-directed learning. However, in this method, the user cannot any choice the learning contents whatever h/she wants. In this research, we propose self adjust learning system instead of self-directed learning. And we also consider the user choice with various learning contents on the internet, this process connect to LCMS to request and response the learning contents from the learning server and LMS.

CSP Based E-Learning Model in Cloud Computing Environment

Hwa-Young Jeong; Bong-Hwa Hong

Cloud computing technology is widely used for system service, web service, e-learning system and all kinds of software to services using the internet. In this paper, we propose e-learning system in cloud computing environment. For this system we make a model for e-learning process and software to combine the learning process between the learning business logics. In order to analyze and evaluate the system model, the CSP was used.

The Propose System of Learning Contents using the Preference of Learner

Hwa-Young Jeong; Yun-Ho Lee; Bong-Hwa Hong

Web based learning systems are operating with various and lots of learning contents. But it is hard to construct learning contents to fit learners when they select learning contents for learning. In this paper, we proposed the recommendation method that can support the learning contents as calculate learner`s preference using the learning history information of learner`s profile when learner design and compose learning course. In the applying result of this method, we`ve selected testing learner group and was able to know it can help to learner processing learning by themselves as we`ve got great learning satisfaction after test.
