An integrated mobile LDI with readout function is designed for touch sensor embedded display panels. This device not only drives the display panel but also senses either charge signals or current signals from the TFT sensor array with 8b resolution. The 22 times 1.8mm2 chip consumes 24mW, with 3mW required for the readout function

One-chip driver IC for 16 million color (24-bit color depth) wide extended graphic array (WXGA) low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT LCD panel is presented. It adopts the 1:6 demuxing scheme to integrate multiple source driver ICs on a single chip. Also, it incorporates a timing controller (T/CON), a LVDS receiver and level shifters to generate control signals to the panel.

The effect of the level of transmission and surround luminance on image quality of transparent display is studied. The images on the OLED transparent display were simulated on LCD monitor by adding background scene to the original images. The psychophysical experiment was carried out on normal and simulated transparent displays under four levels of surround luminance (dark, dim, average and bright) and four different levels of transmission (17, 52, 70 and 87%). Four test images were selected for the psychophysical experiment. Fifteen subjects were participated in this experiment and they were asked to answer the degree of preference of each image for each condition with 7-point Likert-scale. As the result, it is found that the image quality of OLED transparent display deteriorates as the surround luminance increases and the transmittance increases but lowering the monitor gamma can be helpful to increase the image quality. This result suggests that image quality requirement for a transparent display is different from conventional opaque displays.

Many enterprises are adopting thin-client IT environment for intensifying information security. Besides, the business environment has been facing the globalization and the new information technology renovation such as mobility. Thin client architecture, however, is limited to deal effectively with the demands of enterprises mobile working environment in terms of information security and work productivity. In order to insure the maximization of business efficiency, it requires that all application must be executed locally unlike server based computing solution. Moreover, it provides the same functionalities as company inside to prevent the disclosure of enterprise confidential data which stored on mobile devices. This paper provides the smart client model that are satisfying these mobile computing requirements
