The elaborated methodology applied in the research integrates experimental measurements of kinematic parameters, which are then used in numerical computation. Measurements of kinematics of the upper limb motion were carried out during experimental studies using a MVN Biomech System. A mathematical model of movement of the upper limbs allowing the determination of force reaction in joints in a non-invasive way while performing selected routine activities is an important element of the applied research methodology. In the study the resultant reaction forces in the shoulder, elbow and wrist joints were determined and analyzed for the group of 8 healthy people as well as patterns of joint reaction force of the individual joints were developed.

The work presents an innovative, interactive device used to support the rehabilitation process in small children with lower limbs dysfunction. The presented equipment combines movement therapy with simultaneous psychological stimulation of the child. EEG sensor measures the activity of the child’s brain waves and at the same time functions as the controller of the rehabilitation process. Application of the discussed equipment in the process of rehabilitation of children supports their optimal development within individual limits.

This paper presents an interactive system for childrens lower limbs rehabilitation, which aims to satisfy the essential requirements for progress in rehabilitation by stimulating a childs senses through image and sound. Brain activity measurement with an EEG sensor is used as a function steering the rehabilitation process. Through the interactive integration of the function of movement rehabilitation with mental stimulation of a child it will be possible to support the development of cognitive functions, cause-effect thinking, stimulation of the senses and to improve coordination and spatial orientation of the young patient and also encourage and motivate them to participate fully during therapy.
