ΠN-scattering at high energies in the quasipotential approach

Abstract Experimental data on πN scattering in the momentum transfer region 0.01⩽| t |⩽1.0 (GeV/ c ) 2 and P L ≳10 GeV/ c are described in the framework of the quasipotential approach. The parameters of the quasipotential are found which allow the data to be described satisfactorily.

Quasipotential approach and backward πN scattering at high energy

Abstract A statistically satisfactory description (χ 2 / χ 2 = 0.94, C.L. = 69% of the known experimental data on backward πN scattering in the region −2.86 (GeV/c)2 ⩽ u ⩽ 0.06 (GeV/c)2 and pL ≳ 7.8 GeV/c is obtained in the framework of the quasipotential approach. The predictions for higher values of pL are also given.
