Abstract S-Trimethylsilyl esters of dithio-and tetrathiophosphoric acids were obtained in the reaction of tetraphosphorus decasulfide with alkoxy-and alkylthiotrimethylsilanes, trimethylsilyl enol ethers and bis(trimethylsiloxy)alkylenes and phenylene.

Abstract S-Triphenyl and trialkylgermyl esters of dialkyl dithio- and tetrathiophosphoric acids, and 4-methoxyphenyldithio- and trithiophosphonic acids were easily obtained in the reactions of tetraphosphorus decasulfide and Lawessons reagent with triphenyl and trialkyl(alkoxy)germanes and (alkylthio)germanes.

O,O-Dialkyldithiophosphoric acids adds at the double bond of the racemic camphene and (+)- limonene in the presence of Lewis acids in accordance with the Markownikoff rule with the formation of Sterpenyl esters of dithiophosphoric acids. The reaction with camphene is accompanied by the rearrangement of camphane structure to that of bornane. Addition of dithiophosphoric acid to (+)-limonene proceeds with the participation of the exocyclic double bond. Toxic and genotoxic properties of the monoterpenoid dithiophosphates were studied.

Mixed O,S-bis- and tris(trimethylsilyl) esters of dithiophosphoric, aryldithiophosphonic and trithiophosphoric acids, 3, 7a–c, and 9, respectively, were obtained by the reactions of tetraphosphorus decasulfide 1 and 1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfides 6a–c and 8 with bis(trimethylsilyl)acetamide 2.

Abstract The reactions of tetraphosphorus trisulfide with thioacetals, aminals, sulfenamides and disulfides were studied. The reactions were found to give organothiophosphorus compounds and to be facilitated by organic amines and benzoyl peroxide.

A method of synthesizing arylbisdithiophosphonic acids was developed by the reaction of 2,4-diaryl 1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfides with tri(ethylene glycol) and 1,4-butandiol in anhydrous benzene suspension under mild conditions. The arylbisdithiophosphonic acids thus obtained were transformed into the corresponding diammonium salts. New bis(triorganylgermyl), stannyl and plumbyl, and cyclic diphenylsilyl and diphenylplumbyl derivatives of arylbisdithiophosphonic acids were prepared from the reactions of diammonium salts of the corresponding acids with triorganylchlorogermane, chlorostannane, chloroplumbane, diphenyldichlorosilane, and diphenyl dichloroplumbane.

The reactions of Lawessons reagent 1a and its 4-ethoxy homologue 1b with triethyl- and triphenyl(alkoxy)plumbanes 2a,b and -(alkylthio)plumbanes 4a,b were studied. On the basis of these reactions, novel, advantageous methods of synthesizing S-triethyl and triphenylplumbyl derivatives of aryldithio- and trithiophosphonic acids 3a–d and 5a,b were developed.

Abstract The reactions of tetraphosphorus decasulfide and 2,4-bis(4-alkylthio)-2,4-dithioxo-1,3,2λ5, 4λ5-dithiadiphosphetanes with disulfides and thioacetals were studied. The reactions were found to give some novel organothiophosphorus compounds.
