This work is based upon electronic automation and Smart Control techniques, which constitute the basis of Control Area Network (CAN) and Personal Area Network (PAN). Bluetooth technology has been interfaced with a programmable controller to provide multi-dimensional vehicle control. A network is proposed which contains a remote, mobile host controller and an android operating system based mobile set (Client). The client communicates with a host controller through a Bluetooth device. The system incorporates duplex communication after successful confirmation between the host and the client; the android based mobile unit controls the vehicle through the Bluetooth module.

Stabilization of an inverted pendulum is one of the most appealing and conventional problem for control engineering. This system has extremely nonlinear representation and entirely unstable dynamics. The main idea of this research was to design control algorithms for the balancing of rotary inverted pendulum.

This paper presents and studies the mathematical model of proton exchange membrane of fuel cell (PEMFC) using Matlab/SIMULINK software. The paper consists of the calculation of cell voltage, the double layer charging effect, dynamic response and thermodynamic response. This model is used to analyze the fuel cell behavior and the characteristic of output values at different parameters. Two characteristics involved in this paper which are transient and steady-state condition where the results are presented in graphical representation. The parameters for this model in this paper are based on Ballard-Mark-V fuel cell. The maximum power produced by the fuel cell is 3757 watt at load current of 261.4 Amps.

The software development is a key area in Software Engineering. Several mathematical models have been emerged and implemented for the cost benefit analysis of the software development effort. The most dominant model is Bohem’s COCOMO. On the other hand, Usability is also an important characteristic of the software or system. But, there is no defined mathematical model to calculate the effort spent for the process of usability. However, several theoretical cost benefit analysis models are defined by various authors. The present study is conducted to analyze different usability cost benefit justification models. Further, on the basis of general cost benefit analysis framework by Mayhew, a mathematical model is defined. The purpose of present study is to provide a mathematical equation to usability cost benefit analysis process.

Abstract As with the advancement of human society and rapid growth in population, the need of utilizing energy in an effective manner is required. Self-sufficiency in energy is another concept but to manage the utilization of energy in such a way that we could fulfill our present needs without compromising the needs of future generations. Just like energy management is important, while we talk about wind, solar, hydro, etc. it is also very important in terms of ad-hoc wireless networks. In this modern era, all the atomization of industries, buildings, stores, etc. has been done over wireless sensor network (WSN), so in order to make the overall system efficient, we have to make the network nodes optimally utilize the energy in order to perform their task effectively and efficiently at the same time. This fascinating advancement in the field of wireless technologies is the sole motivation behind this chapter, which gives the reader an understanding of all fundamental concepts of energy management at different levels of WSN and appreciate the diversity of this matured field, while avoiding getting down to the technicalities required by system engineer.
