The object of this work is to provide an alternative for the removal of chromium of residual waters of tannery, using the brown alga Sargassum sp. To conditions of operation of pH of the breakup of 4, grade of agitation 50 rpm, size of particle of the biomass of 1.19 mm of diameter and relationship mass of biomass / breakup volume that contains chromium of 0.02 gr/ml, efficiencies were obtained in the chromium removal, with the Sargassum sp of 85% for synthetic breakups and of 51% for a real effluent of tannery.

Nickel matrix composites coatings reinforced with Diamond nanoparticles (NiD), were applied onto steel 1016 substrate. The influence of the main variables in the electroplating like: current density, stirred speed and the particles concentration into the bath, on microhardeness and corrosion resistances, were studied by means of a completely randomized 2 k factorial design. The diamond nanoparticles modify the morphology and enhance the microhardness considerably, While the corrosion resistance doesn’t presents considerable changes compared with pure Nickel coating.

In this work, PLA from the policondensacion of lactic acid in the presence of a metallic zinc catalyst was obtained; under conditions of emptiness and inert atmosphere. During this process one varied the concentration of Zn++ and the time of curing to obtain polimericas samples with different properties. The polimerico covering on Ti6A 4V, was obtained from a method of cathodic electroplating. The obtained material was PLA and that its preparation with a metallic zinc initiator, promoted the migration and formation of cationicos groups that managed to neutralize themselves and to coagulate on the surface of of Ti6A 4V.
