Fire is one of the disasters that often occur in everyday life and causing losses both in terms of material and non-material. There has been much research done to build a field alarm system. One way to build a fire alarm system is base on fire detection on video data; this is done with digital image processing techniques and machine-vision. Fire detection systems based-on video processing consist of four main stages, namely: motion detection area, detection area of the color of fire, temporal analysis of probabilistic calculations or applying wavelet analysis, spatial analysis using energy calculations on an area.

The metamorphic technology is very important and can make an animation more attractive. The cyclical metamorphic animation of fractal images can be constructed by more than two fractal images. The multi-transitional IFS code can represent the multiple fractal images as the nodes of the iteration of the cyclical animation. To have the interpolation between the source and target of fractal images looked natural, the IFS code form of fractal attractors should be in a family with the correct order and the same number of transformation functions and relatively with the same size of attractors.

Diagnosis of diseases like malaria are very dependent on the identification of parasites in blood. Various methods have been applied for this process. The majority uses machine learning to identify the parasites. This method has shortcomings in long training time and the need to be retrained if a new data emerged. Of the various methods that have been applied, identification using feature based recognition is still rarely used. This method is strong in the term that it does not require training process, but only an image sample from which the feature will be extracted. In this paper, we design an identification process for blood parasites using one of the famous local feature extraction algorithms, i.e. SURF (Speeded-Up Robust Features). In our experiment, we evaluate the system to identify Plasmodium parasites. In this experiment, we are focusing only on parasites gametocyte stage. Here, we use the system to identify whether or not the parasite is Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium malariae, Plasmodium ovale, or Plasmodium vivax. From this, we obtained 60%, 33.33%, 75%, and 50% true positive rate for each type of parasite respectively. Although this method has its strength, the experiment shows that the result obtained have not reached the desired expectations. This may due to the fact that the identified parasites is from the same species so that it contains some common characteristics.

The animation industry has a challenge to get facial expressions animation that resembles the original facial expressions. One of the supports from the technology is the presence of facial motion capture technology. Unfortunately, this technology requires no small amount of funds and a long preparation time. The process that takes a lot of preparation time and money is the process of setting markers on the actors face. In addition, the marker adds inconvenience factor on the actors face. In this paper, the research and development of a software system to be used in the animation industry will be developed, in the form of a marker-free facial motion capture.

Multi-agent system approach is now widely used as a solution to real-world problems, including problems in the organization model. The complexity of the organizational environment demands a model of knowledge management (KM) improvement that can create innovation and responsiveness process, this matter caused by rapid changes, so the knowledge will grow and improve continuously. Multi-agent system is seen as an approach that can achieve this goal, through its characteristics. This paper describes an overview of implementation of multi-agent system approach to KM models, including a review of several research contributions related to that domain. Assessment of any research results are discussed with systematically to compare each contribution of each researcher. At the end of this paper, we make conclusion and propose a preliminary study that needs further study, which is expected can give new idea and description for other researcher at this domain to invent a value of novelty on the future.

Spatial data wrapped and processed by an application known as Geographic Information Systems (Geographical Information System / GIS). In desktop based GIS, the spatial information services only occurs when a variety of basic data has been loaded into the applications database. The real challenge for corporate is how to create a GIS that smart, secure, and relatively low cost. It is a real difficulty for a corporate to build such system, because they have to supply the basic data, their specific data, and define the relation. The development of information technology has provide ready to access, worldwide scale, web based mapping system, like Google Maps. Google Maps already provides the basic spatial information. By using Google Maps as basic and background information layer, corporates can focus on their specific spatial data layer on top of it. The main study of this research is to provide a way to create smart, secure, and relatively low cost geographic information services for corporate by utilizing basic spatial data provided by Google Maps. The paper highlight our first step in creating the system by proposing a new model of corporate spatial data management based on Googgle Maps platform.

Indoor buildings as part of man made contains many information of linier perspective. Human has great tendency to build rooms with plane between wall to wall, and wall to floor to be perpendicular each other. This condition gives many advantages so we can use those information to reconstruct 2D imaged room back into 3D space. This paper is aimed to automatically extract and reconstruct room into 3D space from single 2D image only. Our method is begin by localizing ground segment from image, then followed by determining which border of ground should be assumed as wall. Once ground and wall border is identified, we calculate corresponding 3D coordinate of ground and wall using homography and cross ratio. The result of proposed algorithm shows its ability to extract and reconstruct 3D rooms based only on single 2D Image.

Self-adaptive system is a system that can take proper action automatically to reach its goal, based on the situation which occur at this system environment to meet satisfactory of its users. This paper would illustrate a case about self-adaptation function requirement in application tools that correspond to the requirement of graphic element adjustment function. One of the problems that can arise are related to connectivity function graphic elements, wherein when graphic elements associated with other graphic elements, elements of the relationship between the graphic elements can occupy the working area irregularly, even if there are other graphic elements that block the path relations, the relation element can penetrate into that graphic element. This condition has to rearrange by a user manually, so it is quite difficult and time consuming. Strategy that needed to overcome that problems, which must guarantee the availability of areas as working environment, as well as the appropriate decision-making mechanisms when determining an alternative option to connect between elements graphic automatically as self-adaptation ability. The solution for this problem, we propose strategy to automate relation space management of graphic element, as a result of an adaptation mechanism which more flexible and simplify users to do the job. Core concept that developed consist of two approaches namely free space management and neighbourhood modeling. These both concepts realised to polish up adaptation ability from tools limitation that exists at the current time.

Current Geographical Information System (GIS) has been applied the classical point-in-polygon algorithm such as the ray casting algorithm and winding algorithm to conduct spatial analysis. These algorithms have linear complexity with the number of points available in the map. In this paper, we introduce an efficient algorithm to handle arbitrary polygonal queries on a GIS based on the boolean overlay. The algorithm is able to find whether a point is inside, outside, or on the boundary of a given polygon by utilizing a very simple boolean overlay mechanisms in a GIS. Experimental results show that the algorithm works very accurate with 100% accuracy and works very fast.

In this paper, the weaving effects in metamorphic animation of tree-like fractals are presented. The metamorphic animation technique is very fascinating, especially when the animation is involving objects in nature that can be represented by fractals. Through the inverse problem process, objects in nature can be encoded into IFS fractals form by means of the collage theorem and affine function as IFS code. Swing direction from left to right or vice versa or weaving effect in metamorphic animation of tree-like fractal can be simulated based on a family of multi-transitional IFS code naturally between the start and target objects by means of IFS randomize algorithm, so can be observed gradually and smoothly.
