In capability evaluation of measuring devices on the basis of diagnostics, it is important to compare variability of measurement with certain proportion of tolerance zone width of observed qualitative parameter. Determined index of capability of particular measuring device indicates its applicability for inspection of selected qualitative parameters in a given tolerance range. The paper is focused on evaluation of capability of digital micrometer DIGIMATIC within its entire measuring range (0 to 25mm) by the means of capability index Cgm and Cgmk. Evaluation of capability of the given measuring device was carried out by repeated measurements of standards with dimensions representing lower, middle and upper range of the measuring instrument at given accuracy (2μm) of measuring device.

Chilled ceiling represents air-conditioning system in which a part of heat load is taken away by the ceiling thus decreasing the demand of cooling air amount. Chilled ceiling can only be applied with automatic air-conditioning control. The contribution presents computer program that can serve for either the proposal of chilled ceiling parameters or for chilled ceiling control algorithm.

The paper presents study on energy gain increase of the solar collectors equipped with automatic system which serves for the purpose of changing inclination of the collectors according to the sun ecliptic. The system effectiveness is compared with fixed collectors energy gain.

The article deals with on-line monitoring of heat sources with application of predictive system equipped with computational intelligence. In particular, an emphasis is given especially on efficiency, optimization of operation, predictability, and synergistic effects. The operation effectiveness will be evaluated from several perspectives such as the thermal properties of the objects, characteristics and properties of resources, and internal air quality. The proposed system based on the analytical/static approaches (e.g. heat loss models of heated objects) and applying the techniques of computational intelligence (e.g. artificial neural networks) creates a dynamic environment that can predict the amount of heat delivered not only on the basis of the energy requirements for the thermal balance of the heated objects and the current weather forecast, but the use of the data base and universal approximators in the field of computational intelligence on the behavior of objects in different operating conditions.

The paper deals with proposal of synthesis of drive control of solar panels facility. New way of facility control is presented. The facility serves for solar panels rotation according to sun radiation intensity, sun location, and feedback control of position of linear electric drive.
