Analytical Intelligence is a set of methods and tools for acquisition and transformation of raw data into meaningful and useful information. Multicriterial diagnostics is an approach to obtain a real status of machining process just in time and produce a big pile of raw data. The paper presents a scheme of utilisation of analytical intelligence tools in multicriterial diagnostic of CNC machine tools. It is an effort to obtain a complex perception about all influences represented with measured data on machine precision.

The article deals with the application of workshop programing system Sinumerik Operate 840D SL in technological preparation of production. Application of the system in real situation pointed out on several problems and disadvantages of the system. The article contains a comparison of the effectiveness between workshop programming, ISO programming, and CAM system programming. Sinumerik Operate was used as a control system at a milling machine EMCO Concept Mill 105.

Maintaining machinery in conditions capable of production requires certain level of maintenance which should be planned in order to avoid unnecessary downtiqmes. Technical diagnostics and monitoring provides data necessary for effective targeting, planning, and optimizing maintenance actions. This article describes a proposal of a system designed for monitoring various parameters on educational machine tools of EMCO Concept series, which are widely used at schools and universities and therefore, relatively easily accessible for research without any issues regarding confidentiality, common in industrial applications. The article describes a situation for which the device was designed, measured parameters, sensors its implementation and testing.

This paper presents the evaluation of the influence of the feedmotion speed on the value of selected geometric errors of CNC lathe CTX 310 eco by DMG, indentified by QC 20 Ballbar system. Diagnostically evaluated were: the deviation of the axis squareness, reversal spike, and backlash. These errors determine the forming of the dimensional and shape accuracy of a machine tool. The article discusses the process of the CNC diagnostic test, the diagnostic evaluation and formulates guidelines on further CNC operation. The results of measurements were presented in tables and diagrams.

The article deals with the possibilities of automate creation of NC programs by using the NC strategies in CAD/CAM system Edgecam 2017 R2. Emphasis is placed on the suitability of use, the limitation of the creation, and application of the NC strategies. The experiments deal with the comparison of effectiveness of the NC strategies applied especially to the components with different geometric features. The results obtained allow determining the applicability of experimental NC strategies in the process of NC programs preparation.

The article contains a summary of recent development in field of technical diagnostics at the Department of Automation and Production Systems, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zilina. It covers diagnostics and monitoring of CNC machine tools, industrial robots, and production lines. Each part contains a description of basic approaches, methods, measurement tools and their implementation. In case of machine tool and industrial robot diagnostics, it is mainly laser interferometry and double Ballbar method. It also describes usage of the internet of things and machine learning as a tools to implement multiparametric diagnostics and monitoring on production lines.

The article deals with the application of vision guided parallel robot FANUC M-1iA for automated assembly process. Vision system is used for object identification and filtering the data about its position and orientation. Control system based on iR Vision system can process data collected from camera Sony XC-56 fixed to the frame and navigate the end-effector to grasp and move selected objects. Integration of vision guided robot control into the high speed parallel robot can be highly productive. The functionality of vision guided robot system is demonstrated at automated assembly process of USB memory stick with variable positioning of its components.

One of the main trends in industrial robotics is collaboration between human and robot. Collaboration is applied especially in the field of assembly tasks. The current automation technology is not at the level that could ensure demanding tasks. These tasks are often associated with actions requiring human skills. Many manufacturers of industrial robot offer a solution in a form of a collaborative robot. These robots represent new opportunities for industry. In order to further develop the area of collaborative robotics, it is necessary to look for new technologies. This article deals with design of method which is based on open source platform. The method is applied to solve a real assembly task.
