Mathematical Formulation of Public Electric Transport Scheduling Task for Artificial Immune Systems This paper describes mathematical formulation and application of artificial immune system for scheduling tasks for public electric transport. Artificial immune system is inspired by human immune system to simulate the process of interaction between antigens and antibodies. The task of scheduling in transport system is represented as one of the most well-known flow shop problem. Artificial immune system as a genetic based method is used to solve such task. Mathematical model and algorithm is proposed to create optimal schedule for public electric transport for minimization of electric energy consumption and time. Numerical example shows several steps of algorithm for artificial immune system for scheduling task solution.

Immune algorithm and intelligent devices for schedule overlap prevention in electric transport

This study is dedicated to optimize the electric transport traffic by adjusting timetables using evolutionary algorithms and scheduling theory. Developed multiple criteria objective functions energy consumption criterion is used for the assessment of adjusted schedules. The scheduling results of immune algorithm is compared with results of genetic algorithm by providing better energy saving effect and eliminating of schedules overlapping. This article also discusses one of the possible energy savings - proper planning of transport operations. It is considered on the railway irregular transportation operations example.

Reliability improvement of embedded train anti-collision system by multi-processor technology

The paper is based on authors previous research results and experience. This paper describes the service oriented system architecture (SoA) for train anti-collision system (TACS) using embedded multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoc). The improved configuration of previously developed system is proposed, necessary conditions for successful work are defined, and the advantages of using multi-processor system structure are presented.

Algorithm for Increasing Traffic Capacity of Level-Crossing Using Scheduling Theory and Intelligent Embedded Devices In this paper the authors present heuristics algorithm for level-crossing traffic capacity increasing. The genetic algorithm is proposed for this task solution. The control of motion speed and operation with level-crossing barriers are proposed to create control centre and installed embedded intelligent devices on railway vehicles. Algorithm is tested using computer. The results of experiments show big promises for rail transport schedule fulfilment and level-crossing traffic capacity increasing using proposed algorithm.

Algorithm for Public Electric Transport Schedule Control for Intelligent Embedded Devices In this paper authors present heuristics algorithm for precise schedule fulfilment in city traffic conditions taking in account traffic lights. The algorithm is proposed for programmable controller. PLC is proposed to be installed in electric vehicle to control its motion speed and signals of traffic lights. Algorithm is tested using real controller connected to virtual devices and real functional models of real tram devices. Results of experiments show high precision of public transport schedule fulfilment using proposed algorithm.
