Recently, sports injuries occurring during the growth period have been reported as increasing. At the sports outpatient departments of participating hospitals, primary and junior high school students with impairment were analyzed and the treatment taken are reported. In the past 10 years, about 10, 000 patients have been examined at the sports outpatients department of the hospitals. Of these patients, 1098 were primary school students, and 3053 were junior high school students. Analysis of the primary and junior high school students was performed and the corrective measures investigated. The recent outstanding characteristic is that patients being examined at the sports outpatient departments are getting younger. By location, there is an increase in injury of the lumbar region, by event, there is an increase in injury due to long-distance athletics, soccer, and basketball. In particular, injury associated with long-distance athletics has been increasing during the past few years. The effect of training is most marked during the growth period, however, it is also the period where if wrong directions are given, there is the risk of after effects. Of the sports injuries found in the primary and junior high school students, there were many cases where the causal factor was a wrong system of instruction. Enlightenment, after a medical network to the schools is established, is necessary.
