Inclusive 3He(e,e) and exclusive 3He(e,en) processes with polarized electrons and 3He have been theoretically analyzed and values for the magnetic and electric neutron form factors have been extracted. In both cases the form factor values agree well with the ones extracted from processes on the deuteron. Our results are based on Faddeev solutions, modern NN forces and partially on the incorporation of mesonic exchange currents.

Abstract A benchmark is set on the three-nucleon photodisintegration calculating the total cross section with modern realistic two- and three-nucleon forces using both the Faddeev equations and the Lorentz integral transform method. This test shows that the precision of three-body calculations involving continuum states is considerably higher than experimental uncertainties. Effects due to retardations, higher multipoles, meson exchange currents and Coulomb force are studied.

Kinematically complete breakup cross section and proton analyzing power data for four different collinearity configurations (neutron at rest in the c.m. system) have been measured in the reaction [sup 2]H([ital [rvec p]],[ital pp])[ital n] at [ital E][sub [ital p]][sup lab]=65 MeV. The experimental data are compared with rigorous solutions of the Faddeev equations using the Argonne AV14, Bonn B, Nijmegen, and Paris potentials. While the overall agreement is quite good there exist distinct discrepancies between theoretical and experimental cross section and analyzing power data in some regions of phase space.
