Proposal for non-Bogomol’nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield D-brane action

J. Kluson

In this short note we would like to propose a form for the action of a non-BPS D-brane, which will be manifestly supersymmetric invariant and T-duality covariant. We also explicitly show that tachyon condensation on the world-volume of this brane leads to the Dirac-Born-Infeld action for BPS D(p-1)-brane.

Note about Hamiltonian formulation of modified F(R) Horava-Lifshitz gravities and their healthy extension

J. Kluson

We perform the Hamiltonian analysis of the specific model of the non-linear massive gravity in Stuckelberg formalism where the square root structure is replaced by introducing auxiliary fields. We show that the constraint structure of given theory varies over the phase space and discuss possible consequences of this fact for the counting of the physical degrees of freedom.

Hamiltonian Analysis of Non-Relativistic Covariant RFDiff Horava-Lifshitz Gravity

J. Kluson

In this paper we continue the study of nonrelativistic p+1 dimensional theories that we started in [arXiv:0904.1343]. We extend the analysis presented there to the case of stable and unstable Dp-branes.

String in Horava-Lifshitz Gravity

J. Kluson

This note is devoted to the study of Hamiltonian formulation of modified F(R) Horava-Lifshitz theories of gravity that were proposed recently by Chaichian and collaborators [arXiv:1001.4102]. We also study Hamiltonian formulation of the healthy extended Horava-Lifshitz gravities and show that these theories have the Hamiltonian structure that is different from Hamiltonian formulation general relativity.

Open string in a nonrelativistic background

J. Kluson

We perform the Hamiltonian analysis of nonrelativisticncovariant Hořava-Lifshitz gravity in the formulation presentednrecently in arXiv:1009.4885. We argue that the resultingnHamiltonian structure is in agreement with the originalnconstruction of nonrelativistic covariant Hořava-Lifshitzngravity presented in arXiv:1007.2410. Then we extend thisnconstruction to the case of restricted-foliation-preservingndiffeomorphism invariant Hořava-Lifshitz theory. We find a wellnbehaved Hamiltonian system with the number of the first- andnthe second-class constraints that ensure the correct number ofnphysical degrees of freedom of gravity.

Horava-Lifshitz Gravity And Ghost Condensation

J. Kluson

We generalize recent analysis of the dynamics of point particle in Hoyrava- Lifshitz background to the case of string probe when we replace the Hamiltonian constraint of the Polyakov string with the constraint that breaks Lorentz invariance of target space- time. Then we find corresponding Lagrangian and argue that the world-sheet theory is invariant under foliation preserving diffeomorphism. Finally we discuss the Hamiltonian dynamics and show that this is well defined on condition that the world-sheet lapse function obeys the projectability condition.

N D0-branes and anti-D0-branes in the background independent string field theory

J. Kluson

This paper is devoted to the study of the open string description of Wilson loops and quarks in nonrelativistic quantum field theory that are expected to be dual of gravity in Schroedinger space-time.
