SummaryResults are given on a hyperon-pion resonance. This resonance has been investigated in the absorption of K−-mesons in4He. The experiment was performed, using the Duke Helium Bubble Chamber. We give tentative assignments of spin, parity and level width of theY* state.

SummaryBoth the sign and magnitude of the asymmetry parameter (α) in A→ p + π- decay have been determined by means of an investiaation of the λ-decay proton scattering angle distribution in liquid helium. The best value of α is 0.66±0.20. The significance of the result in connection with the determination of the relative K-λ parity is also discussed.

K − -decay branching fractions

SummaryWe report here a determination of the K−-decay branching fractions for the modes « μ2 », « π2 », « τ » and « 3-body ». The decay fractions,fi(K−), are compared with all available values of their equivalents for K+-decay. Our determination agrees well with the emulsion results, and disagress with the recent Xe results by approximately 2 standard deviations. Possible reasons for this discrepancy are discussed.

Abstract The mass of the Ω − hyperon was measured to be 1673.3 ± 1.0 MeV. The error includes the statistical as well as a detailed evaluation of the systematic uncertainties. A test was made of the equal mass spacing rule for the SU(3) baryon decuplet and found to be satisfied for a spacing 141.5 ± 2.5 MeV.
