Support Group Counseling for Caregivers of Alzheimer's Disease Patients.

Abstract This article describes Alzheimers disease and the burdens that caregivers encounter in dealing with Alzheimers patients. Information concerning support group counseling for caregivers, their particular needs, and special family issues are presented.

Development and Implementation of an International Counseling Outreach Effort in Bhutan: A Group Stage Conceptualization

This article highlights the development and implementation of an international counseling outreach program in Bhutan using a group stage conceptualization that includes the initial, transition, working, and final stages. The initial stage included a counseling initiative started by one of the queens as well as meetings with key leaders from the National Board for Certified Counselors International and Bhutan. The transition stage involved developing plans for an international counseling outreach effort in Bhutan that involved formal collaborations between the two countries. The working stage included selecting counselors/educators from the United States who provided counseling/training in Bhutan. Future work is discussed, and also implications for the counseling profession.

Microcomputers in the adolescent treatment facility: Specifications and utilizations

Abstract Specifications and utilizations of microcomputers within the adolescent residential treatment facility are presented. Hardware, software, and programming are briefly described. Case management, educational and therapeutic uses, staff training, and office management in relationship to the treatment facility are explored in context of the microcomputer. Implementation of the microcomputer system is also presented.
