Elecciones municipales en el Estado de México: un análisis del contexto local

The objective of the present article consists in showing the main characteristics of the three last municipal electoral processes in the State of Mexico. To do so, we start from an analysis on the meaning and functions of local governments their relation with electoral processes, and a review of the concept and development of the discipline of electoral geography.
