Validation of the lead-210 dating method

Abstract210Pb datings of sediments from open marine area, salt marsh area and estuary and of peat from a raised bog have been performed. Different methods of calculation are used. Net accumulation rates in the range of 0.0078–0.44 g·cm−2·year−1 were obtained. The results are in good agreement with those obtained by other methods.

Histamine h3 receptor antagonists

The SAR of H3 ligands has been difficult to evaluate because of species differences, multiple isoforms and constitutive activity, among other complicating factors. A review is given of the sometimes-conflicting affinity, activity and efficacy data of H3 agonists that has been described in literature to date.

The determination of copper and lead in sediments by potentiometric stripping analysis

Potentiometric stripping analysis was applied to sediments and sludge for the determination of lead (7–700 μg g−1) and copper (3–110 μg g−1). The precision obtained was in the range 2.5–4.1% for lead and 3.9–4.5% for copper. The accuracy of the method was checked on standard reference materials and found to be typically better than 7%.
