SUMMARIES OF PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE WORKSHOP

The Etruscan Foundation. wishing to further interest in interdisciplinary studies concerning the origins of the Etruscans and to act as a catalyst for the exchange of interdi scipinary research results, presented a spec ia l workshop in early October at the Poundations Field Headquarters, the Castello di Spannocchia, near Siena. The workshop was coordinated and organized by Dr. Charles E. Jackson, Clinica l and Molecular Genetics, Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, and Prof. Jane K. Whitehead. The following synopses indicate the range of research approaches currently employed toward this question and suggest also the fertility and energy of interchange that occurred during those intensive two days. It was generally agreed that the workshop should be repeated in two years, and that linguistic research should be added to the dialogue.
