Objective: To identify and describe research tools used to evaluate bonding between mother and child up to one year of age, as well as to provide information on reliability and validity measures related to these tools. Data source: Research studies available on PUBMED, LILACS, ScienceDirect, PsycINFO and CINAHL databases with the following descriptors: mother-child relations and mother infant relationship, as well as the expressions validity, reliability and scale. Data synthesis: 23 research studies were selected and fully analyzed. Thirteen evaluation research tools were identified concerning mother and child attachment: seven scales, three questionnaires, two inventories and one observation method. From all tools analyzed, the Prenatal Attachment Inventory presented the higher validity and reliability measures to assess mother and fetus relation during pregnancy. Concerning the puerperal period, better consistency coefficients were found for Maternal Attachment Inventory and Postpartum Bonding Questionnaire. Besides, the last one revealed a higher sensibility to identify amenable and severe disorders in the affective relations between mother and child. Conclusions: The majority of research tools are reliable to study the phenomenon presented, although there are some limitations regarding the construct and criterion related to validity. In addition to this, only two of them are translated into Portuguese and adapted to women and children populations in Brazil, being a decisive gap to scientific production in this area.Abstract Objective To identify and describe research tools used to evaluate bonding between mother and child up to one year of age, as well as to provide information on reliability and validity measures related to these tools. Objective: to identify validated instruments and related to drug use among adolescents. Method: an integrative review that included studies on elaborating and validating or evaluating the psychometric properties of instruments for analysing drug use by adolescents in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The search was performed in the following databases: MEDLINE, LILACS, SCOPUS, CINAHL, COCHRANE and Web of Science. For this, the descriptors “Validation Studies”, “Validation studies as subject”, “adolescent” and “disorders related to the use of psychoactive substances” were crossed, resulting in 743 articles retrieved, with a total of 11 composing this review after the selection process and analysis of methodological rigor were performed. The data collection was performed using a validated instrument and the results were categorized based on the objectives of the tests. Results: ten instruments were identified: five questionnaires, one inventory and four scales. The instruments addressed the risk, use/abuse of psychoactive substances and treatment issues. Two showed greater reliability: ASTEQ-COUNSELOR and the DCI-A-SF. Conclusion:information on ten validated instruments was summarized focused on adolescent drug use. These instruments enable measuring and identifying drug use and treatment-related aspects for problems arising from using these substances. Two instruments were considered to be the most reliable because they presented better alpha values for the items individually and together; the ASTEQ-COUNSELOR and the DCI-A-SF. The availability of reliable measurement instruments assists nursing research and praxis

OBJECTIVE To analyze the specialized literature regarding the risk factors in nursing diagnosis for suicide risks in elderly. METHOD This is an integrative literature review carried out during June 2015 in the following databases with no time limit: MEDLINE, PsycINFO and CINAHL. RESULTS A total of 80 full papers were analyzed. It was suggested the inclusion of 23 risk factors in NANDA-I taxonomy: apathy; unrest; low self esteem; carelessness with medication; Inability to ask for help; Inability to express feelings; suicidal plan; rigidity; functional disability; visual problems; sadness; hostility; anxiety; failure; frustration; unhappiness; dishonor; frequent visits to a physician with unclear symptoms; social deprivation; social devaluation; psychological violence; Interfamilial violence; and financial violence. CONCLUSION The risks for suicide presented in NANDA-I taxonomy need to be refined and adapted to the elderly reality. Furthermore, a review is also recommended for the risk factors not included in this classification.

Objectives: to identify postpartum depression among women assisted by Family Health Units (FHU). Methods: this is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach carried out in FHUs at the city of Vitoria de Santo Antão PE. Fifty eight mothers constituted the sample. We used the Portuguese version of the Postpartum Depression Screening Scale – PDSS for screening. We collected data from February to April 2011. Results: we were able to demonstrate that 8.6% of participants had scores above the PDSS cut-off point. We also found an association between postpartum depression and incomplete primary education. Conclusions: although the percentage of women with postpartum depression scores is lower than values found in other national studies, the early identification of these mothers in FHU is imperative, given the harmful repercussions that depression can cause in women, as well as in physical and psychic development of the baby. This study focused on the analyses of the comprehension of elderly patients about depression in units of family health. It is a descriptive and qualitative study, whereby interviews were realized with the elderly registered in the units of family health, using the technique of discourse analysis. It was verified that these elderly patients are, most of the time, women, between 65 and 86 years old, married and widowed, retired and housewives. The analysis of the empirical material revealed a comprehension about depression linked to sadness and discouragement, this perception was obtained by familiar and personal experiences, highlighting that the staff of the unit of family health do not approach this theme in their actions. In the context of a multidisciplinary health staff, nurses must be able to develop effective actions related to the health of the elderly in order to solve, attenuate and slow some problems such as depression, which is very present at this age. In this context, it is evident that it is necessary to implant or effectively implement good practices in mental care of the elderly in primary healthcare centers, such as an integral nursing assistance on the health of elderlyThis study focused on the analyses of the comprehension of elderly patients about depression in units of family health.
