The article deals with the application of the method for mathematical modeling and simulation at solving some issues in the area of electrostatic technology. It focuses on the processes in electrostatic separation and precipitation. Computer simulation is highly required in equipment design and their diagnostics in critical operating states using theoretical calculations and experimental data evaluation. The presented computer models may be applied both by project and design engineers using the most advanced computer-aided design of electrostatic technologies.

Paper focuses on electro-physical property measurement for polypropylene ropes with various pigmentation and diameter. Measurements are mainly focused on electrical conductance with various moistening times. Also partial discharge measurements were made. Four main parameters were observed: discharge rate, apparent discharge mean value, maximal discharge value and mean energy value.

The phrase “Smart House” means a building with structuralized installation systems, especially electric installation systems with connection to heating and air-conditioning systems, or to systems with multiple energy sources. Such a smart electric installation enables flexible changes in installation even after it has been installed by simple re-programming procedures of its components. Smart electric installation requires control interface that is easy enough to use even by unqualified personnel, users with disabilities or senior users. In our department we have developed web application for KNX EIB standard electric installation system that can be connected to any proposed human interface. This capability means freedom in design of control system according to user requirements. Thus complex visualization system for these installations is designed and it is prepared to connect to innovative human interfaces.
