Remote control of Asterisk via Web Services

Lukas Kapicak; Pavel Nevlud; Jaroslav Zdralek; Patrik Dubec; Jan Plucar

The paper deals with remote control of the Asterisk SW PBX with Web Services. Our remote control of Asterisk is web based which means that it interacts with Web Service client or with specific application which uses SOAP protocol. Developing of our remote control proceeded in JAVA language and we used Asterisk-Java libraries. We also applied Asterisk AMI interface for cooperating with our commands. AMI interface has some limitations so we implemented CLI controlling over SSH, too.

Karel Tomala; Jan Rozhon; Filip Rezac; Jiri Vychodil; Miroslav Voznak; Jaroslav Zdralek

This article discusses the use of the Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML, VXML) to create a complex voice menu in danger alert communication system. The system was created as a part of research at Department of Telecommunications at the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. Creating a voice menu provides end-users more information about the impending danger as well as instructions on how to behave in a given situation. If users receive a pre-recorded warning message in the form of a phone call, it will provide a telephone number on which they can obtain more information. In order to achieve the desired functionality, we had to use open-source PBX Asterisk, the VoiceGlue package which features both the VoiceXML interpreter and the Text-to-Speech (TTS) module.

The paper deals with the extended capability of a multimedia server to control a video transaction remotely. The presented paper is a result of applied research and is a contribution into the INDECT portal which integrates the interactions of SOAP-based web services. The project aims at developing the tools for enhancing the security of citizens and protecting the confidentiality of recorded and stored information and is a part of the 7 th FP EU. We describe a multimedia handling controlled by the client application via web services. We have developed JAVA based software that allows remote control of SW PBX Asterisk through web services and AMI interface. Video files are recorded by smartphones and saved in a repository on the server. The list of stored files is generated automatically and users can replay a particular video file from the server. The names in this list are read to users by means of a speech synthesis. Subsequently, DTMF key input is used to enable making the right choice.

In the article, it is recognized that the high-intensity discharge (HID) fishing lamp becomes obsolete, so we designed a free secondary lens for an LED fishing/working lamp (LFWL) to serve the lighting needs of fishing and the on-board activities on fishing boats through gaussian decomposition for taking the place it. The results proved that it is really useful to the board, sea-surface, and underwater. Moreover, the lighting efficiency of 91 % with the power consumption reducing more than 3 times could be achieved when the proposed LED fishing/working lamps are used instead of the HID fishing lamps. Energy harvesting (EH) structure based on the ambient wireless communication technique, has lastly carried out the development approach to widen the existing time of the wireless networks. The energy collecting composition for the half duplex and full duplex wireless networks is examined. By employing the time switching-based relaying (TSR) networks and the Decode-and-Forward (DF) structure, we imply the approximated section of the operation probability and then estimate the throughput of the half-duplex and full-duplex wireless networks. We can see an essential outcome clearly based on the position of relaying, the achievement rate, the noise at the source and the relay as well as the energy transition component in TSR, effect on their outage possibility and throughput. Ultimately, the performances of the full-duplex (FD) and half-duplex (HD) wireless network architectures is different, the results are collected to demonstrate that, for a normal maximal networks, sometimes, FD one are more optimal than HD model and contrariwise, for instance, when the distance between the relay and the transmitter isn’t great, The outage possibility of the HD model is better than FD one. Or when rises \(\eta \), the HD throughput becomes better etc. With the same method, we also get the results illustrate that DF of two antennas is better than that of one antenna. Consequently, based on the practical condition, we determine what model is better.

This paper studies on the relaying selective matter in amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperation communication with full-duplex (FD) activity. Various relay choice models supposing the present of different instant information are investigated. We examine a maximal relaying choice that optimizes the instant FD channel capacity and asks for global channel state information (CSI) as well as partial CSI learning. To make comparison easy, accurate outage probability clauses and asymptote form of these strategies that give a diversity rank are extracted. From that, we can see clearly that the number of relays, noise factor, the transmittance coefficient as well as the information transfer power had impacted on their performance. Besides, the optimal relay selection (ORS) model can promote than that of the partial relay selection (PRS) model.

This paper analyzes the effect of co-channel interference on device-to-device (D2D) communication using amplified-and-forward technique. This paper considered the outage probability of D2D communication using two-way amplify-and-forward relaying protocol over Rayleigh fading channels. For this purpose, this paper presents closed expressions for the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the signal-to-noise ratio plus the co-channel noise (SINR), throughput of such network under impact of the co-channel interference. The results of this analysis will be verified by the Monte-Carlo simulation method and simulated on Matlab.

Enabling D2D Transmission Mode in Cellular Networks: Instantaneous Rate Consideration

Huu-Phuc Dang; Hong-Nhu Nguyen; Thanh-Duc Le; Si-Phu Le; Dinh-Thuan Do; Jaroslav Zdralek; Miroslav Voznak

The concept of full duplex (FD)-assisted relay has been introduced to support the relaying transmission using device-to-device (D2D) communications for enhancing communication reliability. Motivated by the recent advance in heterogeneous network using relaying techniques, we consider the D2D communication provided by dedicated FD relay where forward signal from a base station (BS) to the conventional cellular user and D2D user. We mainly derive the instantaneous rate by taking into account the SNR and power allocation parameters, and propose the transmission mode for D2D link. After deriving the rate of the D2D link, we explore the effects of the network parameters on the instantaneous rate.

Performance Analysis of Wireless Powered Cognitive Radio Networks.

Thanh-Duc Le; Hong-Nhu Nguyen; Si-Phu Le; Dinh-Thuan Do; Jaroslav Zdralek; Miroslav Voznak

In this paper, we design a energy harvesting-assisted relay which collects energy from signals radiated by PU (primary user) transmitters, then SU (secondary user) transmitters can be used to forward signal to PU receivers. In this model, transmit power of PU transmitters are divided into two equal part for primary network and secondary network in cognitive radio. This paper will discuss how to evaluate system performance under impacts of energy harvesting coefficients through the outage performance. Such analytical expression can be verified through Monte-Carlo simulation to confirm advantage of the proposed model.

Si-Phu Le; Hong-Nhu Nguyen; Thanh-Duc Le; Huu-Phuc Dang; Dinh-Thuan Do; Jaroslav Zdralek; Miroslav Voznak

In this paper, we consider one-way relay with energy harvesting system based on power beacon (PB), in which the relay node harvests transmitted power from the PB station to forward signals to destination. We also analyse the relay network model with amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol for information cooperation and Power Splitting-based Relaying (PSR) protocol for power transfer. In particular, the outage probability and optimal energy harvesting (EH) power splitting fraction of novel scheme in are presented. We obtain analytical closed-form expression of optimal energy harvesting (EH) power splitting fraction to minimize the outage probability of system. Using numerical and analytical simulations, the performances of different cases are presented and discussed.
