Flies causing myiasis can be classified into two groups, based on the relationship with their hosts: Obligate parasites, specifically producers of myiasis, can develop only on live hosts; Facultative parasites, their larvae feed primarily on cadavers or vegetables, but can sporadically infest human or animal tissues. Removal of maggots by applying anaesthetic ether and turpentine oil locally on the tissue (in the ratio of 1:4) and careful removal is the best treatment of choice. Myiasis of natural orifices like ear, nose, and oral cavity are more common, but myiasis of tracheostomy wound site is a very rare entity with only 3 literatures published worldwide. This case report discuss the importance of proper health education to the patient regarding the tracheostomy wound care, also the various causes for it and the over way eradication plans.

A 27 year old female attended our ENT out patient department with swelling in the left preauricular region. Excision biopsy was done and was reported as pilomatrixoma. Pilomatrixoma is a rare tumor in head and neck region. It is commonly misdiagnosed and often missed while making a differential diagnosis. It is a benign tumour but occasionally it may become malignant. For this reason surgical excision is the treatment of choice.

Soft tissue sarcomas of head and neck are very rare, in adult population, that too a peripheral nerve sheath tumour getting transformed slowly on a due course of time to rhabdomyosarcomas is very rare. When we are encountering a patient with peripheral nerve sheath tumour, the possibility about malignant transformation to a soft tissue sarcoma must be explained to the patient and should be on regular follow-up.

Nasal lobular haemangioma is a rare benign tumour of the Sino nasal tract. Sino nasal involvement though very rare must be always kept in mind as a possibility CT scan with contrast is mandatory when we are suspecting haemangioma. Endoscopic excision is the treatment of choice. With the advancement of various radiological and pathological studies, diagnosis can be easily established.
