The Principle of Reluctance Resolver and EMF Waveform Optimization Based on FEM

The reluctance changing principle of resolver is divided into two kinds: one is varying reluctance through coupling area and the other is the air gap. The mechanical eccentricity makes much more influence on the precision of the one pair pole reluctance resolver. In this article, one pair pole axial flux reluctance resolver with new magnetic structure is put forward, which has the compensating character inside its two side air gap. The prototype has both the exciting windings and signal windings in its stator, which are vertical to each other. There is no winding in its rotor and one inclined ring is set in it. The character of the EMF in signal windings is got using FEM. At the same time, one 4-pole reluctance resolvers zero error analysis is put forward by using FEM. The result of the FEM analysis is coinciding with supposing of the analytical method well and this will offer us the basic parameters for the further analysis in the future.

Electromagnetic design of a novel hybrid flux SMCs PMSM

The hybrid flux PMSM includes both axial flux and radial flux, so its design method is different from the traditional cylindrical permanent magnet synchronous motor. In this paper, based on the analysis of the structure and operation principle of the hybrid flux motor, the design principle of the motor is given. The authors study the effects of slotting, permanent magnet thickness, and pole-slot match on the motor and determine the important parameters of the motor. Finally, the finite element method is used to verify the electromagnetic performance of the motor, and the correctness of the proposed design principle is verified.

Characteristics of soft magnetic composites and application in new structure motor

Soft magnetic composites (SMCs) is a new kind of powder metal material. Compared with the traditional silicon steel material, it has the advantages of low eddy current loss, isotropic magnetic conductivity and thermal conductivity, easy to make parts with complex structure, and is suitable for motor core materials, especially in high-frequency working conditions. This paper introduces the characteristics of SMCs, and classifies the application of the material in the motor, and finally discusses the shortcomings and the development directions.

The characteristic study of the electromagnetic unit for space arm joint

In this paper, one kind of electromagnetic unit for space manipulator joint is put forward. Due to the application of space systems, small in size and light in weight is the basic requirement. The electromagnetic characteristic of high power density PMSM and three different kinds of electromagnetic brakes are analyzed at the same time. Firstly, optimization methods for PMSM motor using in robotic arm is given to us. In consideration of the reduction of the weight of motor, the electric-magnetic FEM, the stress FEM and the temperature FEM are adopted to be used at the same time. Then according to different exciting patterns, three kinds of electric brakes are listed. The advantages and disadvantages of these brakes are given in detail at the same time. At last, the magnetic field isolation technology in small space is studied.
