Time-lapse Prestack Elastic Impedance Inversion Based on Seismic Difference Data

It is well known that time-lapse seismic has been taken as a powerful tool for reservoir management and repeatability is the key factor of time-lapse seismic. In this paper, the author introduces a time-lapse seismic inversion method based on time-lapse seismic difference data. Based on the difference of time-lapse seismic data, elastic parameters variation can be obtained by elastic impedance inversion. Using this method, the inversion process will reduce the computation amount, simplifies the inversion process and improve the repeatability.

Fidelity And Usability Analysis of the Resolution Enhanced Post-stack Seismic Data

Summary Seismic interpretation result with high accuracy relies on the satisfactory seismic data with high resolution. So a lot of attention is being drawn to the research of seismic data resolution enhancing method. While how to know the fidelity and usability of the resolution enhanced seismic data? In this paper, we propose a simple but effective method to evaluate that. Firstly we analyze the practicability from the method’s principle, then check if the seismic bandwidth has been effectively widened, thirdly analyze if the result is usable for enhancing the resolution of impedance inversion and attributes extraction, finally adopt jointly analysis by vertical sections and lateral horizon slices to estimate the fidelity and usability of resolution enhanced data.
