Study on the Rationality of Zaha Hadid's Creavity in Architecture

Jing Wei Li; Hui Zhi Ma

Zaha Hadid is the world’s renowned master of architecture, and she was the first and, to date, the only woman who wins the prestigious Pritzker Architectural Prize. This paper analyzes the rationality of her creativity in architecture from three aspects: the relations between the building and its surroundings, the formal language and function.

Building NMT Community in the Urban NMT System

Jing Liang; Wen Yan Zhao; Xiao Li Xu; Li Wei Guo; Jing Wei Li; Li Di Huang; Ming Ge

This article discusses the NMT communities on the impact of urban environment and social issues, proposing the main problems existing in NMT communities are follows: The NMT paths are lack of systematic; the wide of NMT is not enough; mixed with the motor transportation; NMT environmental quality is not high. Then put forward some design methods: Set up a network of NMT combining with community environment; build up the NMT landscape suitable to human scale; community facilities design for NMT.

Topology Theory Application in Exhibition Design

Jing Liang; Mao Yin Zhang; Xiao Li Xu; Jing Wei Li; Li Di Huang

The document demonstrates the topological theory application in architectural design, especially for the exhibition building. On the premise without changing the relationship between the various functions, the exhibition buildings can transform equivalently by the topological theory to adjust the function of the building and optimize design method. Building skin can be distorted, concave and convex, bending and so on, in order to boost the sculpture and modernity to exhibition architecture. The exhibition space can also be enhanced and amusing by disrupting flat, confused up and down, fuzzy inside and outside space. Summarize the topology theory application in exhibition design by topological analysis in the function, skin, streamline, space of the exhibition building.

Study on the Space Design of Urban Commercial District in Cold Areas

Xiao Li Xu; Jing Liang; Mao Yin Zhang; Jing Wei Li; Li Wei Guo

The contents of space design for urban commercial district in cold areas were analyzed, that include spatial scales, space environment, space node, space interface, linear space etc. On the basis of analysis and survey, the problems of spatial scales, environmental facilities, space form, interface processing, transportation organizations and etc. which exist in the space design were analyzed. Finally, the optimization countermeasures of space design are proposed, which include layout, organization of traffic stream line, spatial form, characteristic expression, environmental design and other aspects of commercial district in cold areas.

Inspiration for Nonlinear Theory of Urban Planning and Design

Jing Liang; Jing Wei Li; Xiao Li Xu; Wen Yan Zhao; Li Wei Guo; Li Di Huang; Ming Ge

In the current era of such a complex and diverse, linear thinking has no longer a reasonable explanation of complex phenomena in various fields, thus the non-linear thinking is coming to the fore. While the city is a complex nonlinear system, in such a digital information age characterized by technology, non-linear thinking must replace the original simple linear thinking in urban planning and design process. The purpose of this study is to analyze new urban planning visions by using the core ideas of the nonlinear scientific theory. The article mainly analyzes the nonlinear theory and the relations between it and urban planning, including the nonlinear theory of chaos theory, fractal theory, the inherent randomness theory, thus forming a new concept of urban planning and design.

Study on the Design Strategy of Commercial Pedestrian Street in Cold Regions Based on the Conditions of Microclimate

Jing Wei Li; Wen Yan Zhao

By pointing out problems of the micro climate environment in urban commercial pedestrian streets in cold regions, and around typical issues of cold climate: cold wind, sunshine and temperature, this paper proposes design strategies that embody fully chill feature and stress the influence of winter climate.

The Expression of Genius Loci in Urban Wetland Planning and Design

Jing Liang; Li Wei Guo; Jing Wei Li; Li Di Huang; Wen Yan Zhao; Xiao Li Xu; Ming Ge

As the important component of urban environment, urban wetland is always intimately related with the development of the city and peoples lives. However, along with the more attention to the zoology recover and reconstruction of urban wetland, the wetland plannings become common with others, and lack of the expression of Genius Loci. Therefore, its pressed for setting up wetland landscape combined with zoology and humanism in city area. The article puts forward the methods of expression of Genius Loci by means of reasonable wetland planning, various and abundant wetland space forms, taking full advantage of natural environment elements and so on.
