SEQUENT PLEASE WORLD WIDE REGISTRY: EFFICACY OF PACLITAXEL COATED BALLOON ANGIOPLASTY FOR TREATMENT OF DRUG-ELUTING STENT RESTENOSIS COMPARED WITH BARE-METAL STENT RESTENOSIS

Jochen Woehrle; Wolfgang Motz; Sven Moebius-Winkler; Matthias Leschke; Christian Opitz; Waqas Ahmed; Paul Barragan; Jean-Philippe Simon; Graham Cassel; Luis Elbal; Bruno Scheller

Randomized trials have demonstrated that SeQuent Please (B. Braun, Meslungen, Germany) paclitaxel coated balloon angioplasty is superior to uncoated balloon angioplasty in bare-metal stent (BMS) and drug-eluting stent (DES) restenosis. The efficacy and safety of the drug-coated balloon (DCB) between

TRANSFEMORAL AORTIC VALVE IMPLANTATION WITH THE NEW EDWARDS SAPIEN 3 VALVE FOR TREATMENT OF SEVERE AORTIC STENOSIS

Jochen Woehrle; Birgid Gonska; Christoph Rodewald; Julia Seeger; Dominik Scharnbeck; Wolfgang Rottbauer

The third generation Edwards Sapien 3 (Edwards Lifesciences Inc., Irvine, California) system was optimized to reduce residual aortic regurgitation and vascular complications. The study evaluated the post-procedural and 30 days results for the 23, 26 and 29mm Edwards Sapien 3 valve in patients

NON-CONTRAST ENHANCED 3D MRI YIELDS HIGH ACCURACY FOR TRANSCATHETER AORTIC valve REPLACEMENT SIZING IN COMPARISON WITH MULTISLICE COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY AND IS SUPERIOR TO CONTRAST ENHANCED MAGNETIC RESONANCE ANGIOGRAPHY

Christoph Rodewald; Jochen Spieß; Horst Brunner; Andreas Kuemmel; Thomas Walcher; Jochen Woehrle; Wolfgang Rottbauer; Peter Bernhardt

For successful transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) correct sizing of the aortic annulus and root in aortic valve stenosis is crucial. With multislice computed tomography (MSCT) 3D volume data sets of the aorta could be acquired in high spatial resolution, but the comorbid patients are

1041 Assessment of the three-dimensional course of chronic totally occluded coronary arteries

Introduction Several studies have revealed that successful revascularization of chronic total occlusion of coronary arteries confers a significant 10-year survival advantage over patients with failed or those without revascularization. The success-rate in revascularization, however, is still limited by the often insufficient knowledge of the three-dimensional course of the occluded artery, which is required for precise steering of the guide wires through the occlusion. In contrast to XR-angiography, MRI is capable of providing data of the occluded vessel without the need of contrast agent.
