A federated simulation framework with ATN fault injection module for reliablity analysis of UAVs in non-controlled airspace

This work presents a federated simulation framework for safety and reliability analysis in Aeronautical Communications Networking (ATN) considering the insertion of Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles (UAV) in the airspace control. The main objective is to quantitatively assess the impact of ATN faults on the risk collision probability between manned and unmanned aircraft. The paper first presents the framework that simulates the communication systems used in a non-controlled airspace. Then it is described the ATN fault injection module, which is then used to evaluate the impact of network-level faults on the risk of collisions probability considering a representative simulation scenario comprising 1500 aircraft in flight.

Analysis of noise in aircraft cabins through the VHF channel

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to present a method to analyze the noise in aircraft cabins through the VHF Aeronautical Communication Channel, aimed at examining an environment that has the possibility of communication problems between the aircraft crew and the professionals responsible for the controls on land.Design/methodology/approach – This analysis includes equipment normally used for identification and comparison of electromagnetic noise, the cabin and the environment that are present in an airport, as well as equipment for frequency analysis and intensity of those signals. The analysis is done in a reverse way, eliminating situations that are not common in the examined environment, until the identification of the situation with the irregularity.Findings – According to the results, the implementation of the Fourier transform for noise analysis in the cabin was efficient. CONTINUOUS AUDITING METHOD TO IDENTIFY ANOMALIES IN FINANCIALOPERATION DATA BASE

This work was presented as a PHD Research Planning, in order to suggest a Continuous Auditing method that allow identify anomalies in financial transactions data base, in a short time. The motivation to develop this work is in technology and financial institution business processes evolution, as well as, in auditing methods modernization. This method will bring to auditor a deeper analysis to collect, arrange and perform a critical data sample, allowing auditors work with sampling data closer to real exception to be analyzed.
