The Voltage Conveyor May Have in Fact Found its Way into Circuit Theory

Josef Cajka; Kamil Vrba

Summary This paper deals with the counterpart to the well-known current conveyor. The n -port voltage conveyor is defined. Terminology, schematic Symbols of voltage conveyors and their adjoint zero-class elements are presented. The design procedures of an analog filter and a sinusoidal oscillator employing voltage conveyors are shown.

New Universal Biquad Using UCCX Devices

Josef Cajka; Kamil Vrba; Jiri Misurec

The purpose of this article is to derive a modification of the circuit shown in [1]. A new device denoted as 0349 UCCX device was proposed in our Department and developed in the AMI Semiconductor Design Center Brno [2]. This device contains realizations of two network elements: an eight-port universal current conveyor UCC (Fig. 1a) and a four-port zero-class current conveyor CCII+/− (Fig. 1b).

Current-mode universal biquad

Dalibor Biolek; Josef Cajka; Kamil Vrba

A procedure for universal filter design using generalized current conveyors is described. The proposed network can be realized with the aid of so-called universal current conveyors. It can therefore be easily transformed from the current mode into the voltage mode and vice versa.

Novel immitance inverters

Josef Cajka; M. Olsak; Kamil Vrba; Ivo Lattenberg; L. Koudar

The design procedure of general immittance inverters is described. Three types of such an inverter were derived using general current or general voltage conveyors. Realizations of grounded inductors employing DVCC (differential-voltage current conveyor) elements and their simulated frequency characteristics are shown.

Universal eight-port RC network

Kamil Vrba; Josef Cajka; Ivo Lattenberg

An eight-port RC-active network is presented. This network can be employed as an oscillator, as a grounded inductor with adjustable inductance, as a lowpass/bandpass/highpass/notch/allpass filter working in the voltage mode (V/V mode) or in the hybrid I/V mode, as a lowpass/bandpass/highpass filter working in the current mode (I/I mode) and as a bandpass filter working in the hybrid V/I mode. Some simulated and measured results confirm a good agreement with the theoretical conclusions.
