Negative lightning current parameters and detection efficiency for two operational LLS in Catalonia (NE Spain)

Víctor March Nomen; Juan Montañá Puig; Nicolau Pineda Ruegg

Lightning current parameters derived from Lightning Location Systems (LLS) have been used in the past to assess their influence in the local performance of the Network. The paper presents an analysis of the statistical parameters for negative peak current strokes and flashes in different areas of Catalonia (32 000 km2) for two different LLS operating in this area.
