Physical education research in Brazil: Post-Graduation WAYS AND DETOURS

Recherche en education physique au Bresil : des chemins et impasses du master-doctoratLe texte pose la question de l’insertion du champ de l’education physique dans le systeme de la post-graduation bresilienne, et de la pertinence de la production scientifique dans ce domaine. Le scenario d’insertion est donc par extension celui de la tentative d’obtention du statut scientifique pour l’education physique, au-dela du debat de la qualification. Du point de vue des procedes techniques, l’etude est une recherche empirique de la communite scientifique autour des principales tendances issues de ce milieu. La methode de recherche est exploratrice de type qualitatif. On constate que l’education physique, qui devrait etre caracterisee par ce qui enseigne dans le milieu academique, s’est progressivement transformee dans un champ determine par le domaine de la sante. On conclut qu’au Bresil, le systeme est subordonne aux cours des plus grandes traditions qui composent le champ de la sante.

RESENHA DO LIVRO “SACANDO” O VOLEIBOL, DE WANDERLEY MARCHI JÚNIOR

Abstract: The book of the Wanderley Marchi Junior, “Catching” the Volleyball, it studies the process of remaining of the Brazilian Volleyball, along with the prospects and dispositions of a consume society, in circunscript period. The historical analysis of modality detects the transitions, named by the author as “upturns”. The “upturns” occurred with the passage of the amateur to the professional and with the spectacle of the sport. The work presented is that the present structures of Volleyball aren’t coping with the creation of a contingent of population players exclusively, but an emerging consuming market of social symbols and signs attached to the capital of a distinct sport practice.
